So the Spanish terraces are one racist chump lighter, due to punishment from the club, not UEFA or the Spanish FA. I guess it's a start, only several million to go.

Imagine if this had happened over here though - the papers would've run with it for days, there would be public enquiries, the FA would be wanting to get involved, UEFA and FIFA would be discussing sanctions - happens in Spain and it's left to be dealt with in house and quietly done.

We continue to suffer the fallout of the 80's when countries like Spain, Turkey & Italy have fans openly giving far right salutes, holding up banners with bigoted messages on, stalking the streets looking for the away fans and all they get is a roll of the eyes from UEFA and told to sort it out.

Suarez posting this picture now makes a mockery of what the message these guys are trying to convey. You're a racist, simple as that, you are not a reformed character, anybody that repeatedly said what he said is clearly a racist scumbag. Can't wait until the day he packs his bags and pisses off for good.

Turns out the banana eating incident was pre-meditated, some anti-racist group made an agreement with Neymar and Alves that whoever had a banana thrown at them next would eat it and then they'd launch the campaign. Good idea, but I thought he came up with it on the spot :grumpy:

A member of an anti-racist group threw a banana at Alves?

What a racist hypocrite.

Well actually, that's the only part that wasn't set up. They just assumed it would happen again sooner or later :p

Are you fucking serious? People are so fucking desperate to prove a point that they'll stage a racist event in order to prove the point that ... err .. What? Exactly?

Just. What??

Edit: ignore me. Just read up ok context & see that the reaction was planned but the event itself wasn't staged
