I mean.........are we going to have put up with people repeating this line with every potential transfer we're involved with?

If so, it's gonna become pretty tedious pretty quickly.

Is it possible that we could refrain from mentioning Chelsea in every thread or wetting our knickers about not completing deals - unless we have very good reason to suspect that either are likely to happen?

It would be appreciated.

But there has been no indication, since Spurs were first in for him, that Chelsea are sniffing about. And surely if Mourinho deemed Chiriches too short for La Liga, he's hardly likely to deem him tall enough for the Premier League?

Besides, I didn't mean to single you out. Apologies if I gave that impression.

My post was more a general expression of exasperation at the growing trend of citing Chelsea - or gazumping from some other source - in every thread.

Don't think so but then that's another plus.

He looks built for our 'system'. Quick, comfortable with the ball, and young so won't demand first team action. Think a Romanian poster said he can play Rb, and given his technique I wouldn't rule out CM.

It's the small, versatile squad AVB loves. This fella will be a CB, though.

I don't watch much rumanian football but from what little I've seen on youtube and other articles about him he looks like a kind of player that would be a good fit for our style of play under AVB.

Sounds to me like he's pretty similar to Vertonghen in playstyle, and that can only be a good thing. Hope to see this confirmed by the club soon.

I was watching a compilation video of Vlad and couldn't tell if he was playing CB or attacking midfield haha. The guy seems to LOVE going forward. But when CB's are like that I think it's awesome.
