Wut??!! Lol!! it was Daws and Walkers bungling that brought Vert's game down a peg.

Priceless.:D

Its you thats got the murky memory mate. A very large percentage of our goals conceded came down our left. Despite a few mishaps here and there, our right side was solid af. I really rate Jan but he cost us far more goals than daws did

Capoue a was reasonably well known name, at least, even if most of hadn't seen a lot of him.

His name first cropped up when we were first linked with Moussa Sissoko four years ago.

Not on here. Go look back at the posts of utter bewilderment at who he was.

Was a players that just appeared out of nowhere for most on here.

Would you classify him as a leader on the pitch? I.e. is he vocal or more passive? Has he ever been Steau captain?

According to wiki he has captained the Romanian national team on atleast one occasion, so im guessing he has some sort of leadership traits about him.

Apologies CE, yes, Benny fucked him right over, vacating his position willy nilly and leaving Verts to cover two positions most of the time they played together. Totally exposed.

Also, Verts isn't a LB.

I'll never judge him on his game in that position because he just isn't a LB and we won't see him play there again unless both our LBs (whoever they may end up being) get injured.

Verts blows Daws to utter smithereens (so to speak....). Not. Even. A. Question.

If we even had rose at LB last season playing as he is now Verts would not have been so vulnerable, as Rose at least has more discipline than benny and actually follows instructions.

Yes it was clearly all their fault that Verts actually cost us quite a few goals last season

so now its bennys fault and not walkers and daws 'bungling' that brought his game down? which is it?

anyway im not trying to hate on jan, i think hes great and obviously wasnt helped by the uncertainly on the left but i just wish people would take off their vertonghen shade glasses and realise that defensively daws was much stronger last season. People are so quick to write daws off and it baffles me.

Both. Clearly. I just augmented my original opinion, so it's obviously both. I hope that's legal.

That's actually just totally blown my mind that you've put those words together to make that sentence and then actually clicked 'post reply'.

If we thought benny did some suspect defending. Vlad is on another level. I saw him control the ball with his chest of a goal kick and then skin a striker all while being last man.

The lad has skills. Think he will be a cult favourite.
Hopefully nothing too rash. If he tries something like that early on in his Spurs career, and gets caught out, it might be hard to recover from. Fans and media on his back from the get go. I dont want someone as risky as Luiz at the back. Yes I want a composed ball playing CB, but not someone who takes unnecessary risks.

Looking forward to celebrating another signing and a much needed one at that. CB and CM looking very, very strong for us now.

so he's not at all responsible for his own misshaps eh? this is exactly the sort of tunnel vision our fan base has on certain holy grail players where they are completely infallible and unopen to any constructive criticism.

also i love how upon realising you were losing your pathetic argument you decided to resort to childish taunting.

I can't take you seriously on this, sorry CE.

I just can't.

Peace.

Don't think he knows but he's still got another 6 outfield players plus a keeper still to blame yet. Clearly Verts wasn't at fault for any of his own mistakes.
