"Evra's defending hasnt been up to his standards all season..."

"Not only is he[Lennon] crap at crossing, passing and shooting, he also has a left foot made only for standing..."

I'm not sure if you paid enough attention to the ones you don't agree with.

"So what is it exactly? A mental thing, Lennon's simply got the Indian sign over our Patrice? Or something technical/tactical? "

"Lennon is the anti christ"

"His style of play I feel. Lennon's got lightning pace and whacks a cross whenever space is available (often to no man's land).

Spurs also double up on Evra down his side so Pat doesn't have the cover he needs."

"YOu could see it the second half that Evra just stood in the way of him going right because Lennon always goes right, He's shite going left"

"Like some said he's the antichrist, there are some players whose the style mentally block others."

"I've seen Lennon skin the best of full backs when on form. Its not particular to Evra imo.

He's just extremely difficult to handle when on his game. Luckily his end product isnt always there."

"Today there was a typical Lennon move.He skipped Evra so fast that he slipped and fell"

"Evra has got to learn how to get the better of him eventually. Lennon is so predictable at times but he is so fast that its difficult to stop him anyway."

got tired now of copying and poasting. plenty more where that came from. doesnt sound like something they would say if it only happened once or twice

08/09 Stats (all competitions)

Lennon - 5 goals, 8 assists
SWP - 10 goals 7 assists
Walcott - 8 goals 3 assists

Despite the stats, Lennon has shown the most promise and all-round improvement. Screw it though. As long as England win the games, I don't really care who's playing.

look just be glad that less of our players are playing for england. sure goals and MOMs might be good for confidendce but it's not worth risk of injury or detrimental effect of media after a poor game.

last thing we want is woody or ledders getting a call up

All players want to play for the National team. It increases their profile and hence their wage. If players feel that spurs players are less likely to be called for england than it means we will find it more difficult to sign good english players

Lennon was a threat thoughout the whole match.

We'll murder sides when he perfects the end product. But until then he still creates space for others, and moves the ball through transitions at pace.
