Jamie O'Hara and Tom Huddlestone played key roles as England Under-21s won the first leg of their European Championship play-off with Wales in Cardiff.
Stuart Pearce's side ran out 3-2 winners with goals coming from David Wheather, Adam Johnson and Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Jamie put in what was arguably a man of the match performance at left-back, and his pin-point corner picked out Middlesbrough's Wheater to cancel out Simon Church's opener on 19 minutes.
With the scores locked at 2-2 going into the second half, a bit of magic from Tom on the right-hand touchline on 62 minutes won possession for England and resulted in Agbonlahor's winner.
Fraizer Campbell also got on for the last 15 minutes as the Young Lions gave themselves an edge going into Tuesday's second leg at Villa Park.
O'Hara played well in a position that was unfamiliar and his set-piece delivery was pretty good. Mancienne looks a really good player and maybe the next rio ferdinand? if he didnt have that donkey Taylor next to him I could see it being more comfortable.
p.s Hudd was shit, gave the ball away almost every time he got it, looks utterly off the pace, and that was against mostly lower league/reserve players. I think he has the potential but needs to sort himself out, looked even less mobile than usual
