Knowing our luck I put money on Boxing Day return.
Where he reinjures himself within one minute and is forced to retire. Naughton will have already agreed to join Swansea, Dier, who stood alongside Walker during his recovery is too mentally distraught and retires from football, while Yedlin never shows up after seeing what's happened. We sign Hutton on a 6 month loan.

Get well soon Walker, we need you back asap!

Yeah definite gastric band. Was tired of being asked for his autograph and people throwing it away after looking at it and realising he wasn't DJ Khalid...

Read the title as Walkers head surgery... And then I thought for a brief moment that Poch is really hands on adressing our problems with intelligence on the field...

Anyway, get well Kyle:)

Back in February, I think it was, when we were told about the injury, it was said he might need to have an operation or it might be ok with rest.

What I don't understand is that he pretty much rested it between then and the end of the season. Surely that was enough time to see if it was better or needed an operation and he could have had it in the summer.

It just seems to smack of indecision somewhere. We've seen it before with dembele's hip and lennon's hamstring.

Our club doctors are wankers. He should have had this operation as soon as he missed out on the world cup.

I would hazard a guess that our medical team might have sought advice from prominent, gifted specialists over his treatment regime. Just a guess mind you.

Glad to see he's still alive, twitter rumours were that the hippy crack had got the better of him, his house looked like a childrens birthday party there were so many balloons floating about, and he was doing a "Jack Wilshere".

Maybe after seeing the problems Lennon has suffered as he gets older from all those years hauling a donkey dong up and down the touchline he's having a pre-emptive penile reduction to preserve his playing career.

Maybe it felt ok with rest and doing his own training but it only flared up when he got into serious pre-season. Surgery must've been a last resort for a reason.
Either way, the boy's young and clearly needs to sort this. Fingers crossed this is it and he comes back stronger than ever.

Long time reader, first time poster here.

I have to say, some of the comments on this are beyond retarded. How do a bunch of people who spend all day commenting on a forum think they know more about medicine than another bunch of people who have studied for 10 years to become doctors and have been assessing Kyle's injury from the get go? Surgery, for any athlete, is the last of the last resorts. You'd try everything before putting someone under the knife which could result in infection/further injury/not fixing the problem etc. Yes, the timing is unfortunate but given that he played in preseason, it's fairly obvious that his rehab was going well. We also don't know if this is a flare up of the old injury or a new one, such as a hernia. It seems odd to me that a pelvic injury could be sorted with abdominal surgery.

Annoying? Yes. Bad timing? Yes. Avoidable? No.

It amazes me how 'fans' on this site barely need an excuse to lay in to the club, chairman, manager, players, stadium and now the support staff. Football is about ENTERTAINMENT. If following Spurs makes you want to stab kittens it might be best to look in to something else.

Possibly the best "first post" ever in SC.

A word of caution though. That type of common sense will not catch on with our armchair experts, some of whom, based on the vague details about an operation they read about in a forum were able to look up the internet and forecast the recovery time.

Remarkable really!!

Why thank you, kind Sir. I think I've come across those so called 'experts' before, I believe his name was Tim Sherwood :woot:

All well and good but a poster wrote last year that we should have been much more careful with Lloris' head injury and he should have come off.

Everyone slagged him off.

End of the season, lots of medical experts came out saying football to move with the times regarding head injuries citing Lloris as a bad example.

People really need to fuck off with the patronising "armchair expert" bs. It's a forum for exchanging opinions and most people are aware that medical experts get things wrong at times and it's perfectly acceptable for people to question things.

You cannot compare the two, everyone could see that Lloris should not have continued. That's very different to being able to predict the recovery time from an operation that nobody knows the details of.

I do agree with your point that this is a forum for exchanging opinions and I do enjoy it, even if I don't post much!!
