Keep the faith. Their defence has started making mistakes, we just need to capitalise on one. I have faith it will come. They are playing to not lose.

Not easy for front 3 when they are surrounded by 4 watford players as soon as they get the ball. Watford are basically playing 8-2 formation.

They literally have a bank of 6 running along the edge of their area when we attack, with no creative players we won't be getting in behind any time soon.
Sounds like some Conte magic is needed at HT

Emerson isn’t good enough offensively to play as a wing back in this setup. Every single attack ends up with him hoofing it on to a player in yellow.

We really need to bring someone else in for midfield to give us a different option, Skipp I would keep in the team as I think he’s miles better than peh

I understand the calls for Ndombele in place of Hojbjerg but Tanguy’s appalling work rate would leave us vulnerable on the counter. Winks picked Southampton apart three times so for me he should get the nod.

Also bring Emerson off with Lucas shifted out wide and either Dele or Bergwijn on, IMO.

Imagine if Mahrez was given that much space on the right flank. He would tear Watford to pieces.

I assume our wingbacks are being criticised but there is a lack of movement in front of them and around them. We need players providing angled cut backs. The scum do it so well and we are hopeless at it on today’s showing anyway

skipp and hojberg are both playing very well but they do not provide those angled cut backs which would mean their defence is more spaced out

it’s a big problem and costing us

To be honest I don't blame Emerson, its not as if he has any options. There should be options for one twos or interesting runs, bit when you have very little movement, what can you do?

Every team should watch this and realise that if they sit deep we are absolutely toothless. We are a counter attacking team and we have no imagination.

This is why poch bought players like lo Celso and ndombele. He saw the need for more intelligent build up.

Emerson needs to practice his crossing, so easy to defend
Completely agree but some of his crosses have been ok and we’ve not attacked them well enough in the area, but yea he needs to mix it up a bit, hit some in between the back 4 and goalie and when lifting them hit them with pace don’t just float them against a very set Watford banked back 6 that’s bread and butter for PL CB’s.

I’d like to see him run at their LB a few times also, don’t always just cross it or pass it backwards, it’s too slow and predictable.

The likes of James,Chillwell,Robertson etc all have excellent delivery but they can also mix it up and run at the full back and do little quick 1-2’s or cut inside and shoot, lots of room for improvement for Emerson.

Because of the lack of quality crossing, we're trying to play through the middle too much. With nobody able to put in a through pass, we are bunching up too much in the middle.

Play Skippy in Royal's position and put in NDom and we'll make a breakthrough.
