They're the same team that beat Liverpool 3-0 away from home. They're a tough team to play against. Any sort of result is well earned. I hate them though.
Conceding such a stupid goal inside the first two minutes knocked Liverpool sideways.

They beat Liverpool 3-0 at Vicarage Road, still though.. They've gathered momentum recently and we've quashed it. Big credit to our lads for 3 wins on the spin after that Newcastle setback.

I stand corrected, but you get my point anyway... ;)

A fantastic 3 points. I think we deserved to win. They scored with their only shot on target (excluding the Lloris save from the corner). The sending off made it more difficult in my view. It was getting really open before that which suited us. After the red card it was 10 men behind the ball and we know that is not our strength in breaking through.

Up to 3rd and a tough game at Everton at the weekend but one which is definitely one we can win.

What a way to end the year. COYS

I meant more for coaching the younger players in the squad or coming on in place of Dier when we're lacking the leadership. Today probably isn't a great example of when they'd be needed as Watford had 10 men but in a 1-1 where we're being pegged back, the Tottenham of old seem to come back to life (panicky clearances, lack of leadership etc.)
Poch is good with the younger players and Dier made upf for his mistake with a great tackle on Deeny. Just imagine the amount of stick Poch would get if he took off Dier and brought on someone like Parker and it didn't work out. We have to try and create leaders from the group we have I think, we had Davids and Parker and Gallas in the past but we still didn't win anything.

that was a six pointer for me. If that goal line save goes in we lose- it didn't we went up the other end and scored. Amazing turn of events- bring on anyone now as the club must be rocking and confidence thru the roof

Sometimes it's better to be lucky then good...

I admit, Watford is the kind of team i hate playing against. They are a very physical side, good in the air and set pieces were always going to make my heart skip a beat.

But I am glad we some how stumbled across the line and got all 3 points. *huge sigh of relief*

Hanging on against 10 man Watford, still a lot of work to be done I think.

In a season where anyone can literally be hanging on against anyone I think while there is still work to be done - it feels like there is less work for us than some others around us which ultimately is what sets you apart from your peers.

We have the best defense and GD in the country - I think we are going far enough in the right direction to not be depressing about a win against an in form side, 2 days after a previous game no matter what manner it was in.

I don't think you can blame not winning anything on those players, the squads are completely different. Sometimes you need a player to get the others into shape when the team is under pressure and add a bit of structure to proceedings.

Even had we drawn against Watford, there's no shame in that. Right now, they are playing extremely well and beating some big teams. It always amazes me that people think it will be easier against 10 men. My first thought was, was this is going to be hard to score now. Teams with 10 men tend to put everyone behind the ball and park the bus, especially when they are not losing.

We are not going to get it all our own way, we are going to play badly sometimes, as do all teams. But the teams that win things, get results regardless, just like today. Ignore the negative people on here, we are continually moving in the right direction. We have the toughest defence in the league, our young players are learning and growing all the time.

Stoke, Liverpool, Newcastle, are all games we have been dominant and should have won. You could even argue that we deserved at least a draw from the opening game at Man Utd. I think we're unlucky not to be top. If only we showed the same fight in those games as we did today.

Watfords football was horrid, glad we beat them in such a harsh way, they dont deserve to get points playing like that.

Seems like we will go in for Saido again but if not, Ighalo anyone?
Well obviously but worst time to buy a player. Done well for 12 Months, is January, you end up paying 25 mill for a guy who really could just be going through a purple patch. Not for me

ok yeah tough team but I don't expect us to be hanging on when they are down to ten men.

Lets be honest, late drama that goes in our favour is one hell of a buzz isn't it?
Think how many times it happened to a title winning Utd team. You certainly can't play well for 38 games a season but you can pick up points in them
