If possible can we keep this thread to positive suggestions and also avoid the obvious answer that if we win all our games 5-0 with attractive flowing football then nearly everyone will be happy....

So what things can people think of to get people singing or showing support.

My starter would be that they drop the video they now show before the game (especially now they don't show Wenger throwing his water bottle away) and get the crowd singing a song - ideally "When the Spurs go marching in". Something like happens at Anfield before every game. Maybe then do the same with another song (glory glory?) at the start of the second half.

What other ideas do people have?

shout and chant and sing. If everyone did that i reckon the atmosphere would improve

Free Gin.

To be honest its tricky on Sundays, when most of our matches are due to the Europa because people tend to go easy on the boozing (compared to a Saturday) which makes the atmosphere worse (im not going into if that should be the case or not but its a reality for us Brits) and people tend to be lathargic on a Sunday. Also, we need to talk to Sky about them making us stop the drumming that used to go on as that was great for the atmosphere but i believe it was bad for their sound. Reduce ticket prices in the west stand to get some atmosphere at all in it! It's awful in there

Evening games, lower ticket prices, cancel all banning orders (;)), get 1882 into the league games.

All just feels a bit sterile at the moment, there isn't really any 'crowd favorates' or personalities ala Van der Vart in the team is there? Seem like nice enough lads but you wouldn't want to go for a pint with them (unless they were paying)

Maybe Sandro at a push is a bit of a cult figure but apart from that?

I've not thought this through to be honest but maybe thats part of the atmosphere stuff

Stop worrying ourselves about the lot down the road by singing Stand up .... and just sing Oh when the Spurs ....

but most of all, as has already been said, get that drummer back

I've said this before but their should be more songs focused on the club itself, not on individual players or standing up if you hate Arsenal. The chants should be focused on thfc so then no matter which players are there it doesn't matter.

We need to take a leaf out of the good part of Fenerbahce's fans book:

Continuous Unwavering Support

Maybe Chas and Dave on at half time

I'd love that!

But back to the question at hand, in the short term we need to relax the stadium restrictions, swearing, standing, that bloody drum and actually telling the Met to fuck off when we want to Yid it up!

Long term the wall of noise from the new stadium must remain, we should lobby very hard (We have the connections) for a change in legislation so that we can implement safe standing in that section, tifos should be allowed and paid for in at least in part by the club.

(Paid for, at least in part by Audi)

None of these are silver bullets but in reality we need to make the Lane more hostile to those neutrals who just want a trip to the football and can afford to pay the Stubhub prices

Can we sort out the half time entertainment aswell. Its shit and I don't care about hearing ex players talk about goals. Lets have some on pitch stuff like younger fans having a shooting contest or a pissed Michael McIntyre.

Well this is a positive thread .

How about cheerleaders like the Angels of the early sixties revving the crowd up from pitch perimeter.

Ban Sunday games. By 4pm Sunday my mind is switching to work mode ready for Monday morning. Saturday 3pm kick offs, giving us the morning to go on the lash, and the evening to recover. . that will soon bring back the atmos.

Yea because instead of clapping oh when the Spurs we can have one hand down our trousers.
