I've lived in north London from birth and I do love that we're a north London club but i don't really see how we're losing our soul by moving 5 miles. It's not the biggest distance, it's not from the woolwich to highbury. I think we'd open ourselves up to a huge fanbase in East London so I'm happy with either option.

The distance is irrelevant. We are a part of the community in Tottenham and our history and identity is in that part of London.

We move to Stratford and Wet Spam become our main rivals. We will be to them what Arsenal are to us.

Also it means L'Arse have run us out of North London.

The main important ingredients for me are crowd capacity and how close to the pitch the design at OS would be compared to NLD. If we could get larger capacity, with same atmosphere (questionable), at a cheaper cost with better transport links...it would surely be worth leaving our home of last 110+ years.

thought the lea valley line (including northumberland park) was being upgraded due to all the olympic events taking place along it from stratford to hertford!!..
get boris to put in a platform at the victoria line siddings at northumberland park station to be used on matchday only & there you go..minimal cost with maximun benefits for all getting to & away from whl.

the transport links have been far worse in my living memory when we've regularly got 50.000 plus at the lane...
fuck stratford!!.. thfc was born in tottenham & onces it leaves tottenham its not tottenham hotspur anymore... its dead.

That was written off on grounds of cost and operational complications. Besides, the Cambridge line is due to be quadrupled.

Liverpool Street. I read something about it a while back, but I'm blowed if I can find a mention now (and how serious a plan it is, especially in the current financial climate, is anyone's guess). It was a four-track mainline at one time, maybe until the early 60s?

The Victoria Line extension to Northumberland Park is certainly a dead duck, though. But as you said, we managed to handle crowds of 50,000-60.000 before the VL.

1500 of those 2700 signatures belong to kebab shop owners.

 truly a funny response

You're quite right, maybe we should try Tottenham Hotspur

 he's not the only one to slip up. I guess that's why the group is called N17 as its easier to spell ;-)

Beats me how a so called supporter can stand in the way of the clubs progress.

This +1

DL knows this and we will build a beautiful new stadium in Tottenham!

eh... do you have news you want to share with us?

The club can still progress by staying in N17.

Not without spending a significant amount of money more than option OS. Plus the stadium will be smaller so future expansion will be impossible or excessively expensive again

Beats me how a so called supporter can't work out we've got an entirely sustainable project in Tottenham that will aid the clubs progress.

Um, not entirely true if you factor in the future laws governing wages to revenue ratio and the increasing costs related to player transfers and wages. Especially if we wish to keep and attract the likes of Bale, VdV etc...

Thats your opinion and i respect it. But like i said Levy is looking to get some leverage with the OS bid. And if your honest you would know that Harringey council have seized every opportunity to squeeze as much out of the club as possible knowing that Tottenham had very little option than to do as they say.
What have Harringey done for Spurs????? Squat! oh i forgot the very popular CPZ's which will extend all the way to Stamford Hill if we stay in Tottenham. Tickets and towaways for Spurs fans who bring money into the borough, and Harringey expect Spurs to pay for it.

The N17 protest will harm the clubs bargaining position, and my own view is your time would be better spent protesting outside Harringey Town hall. If you really loved the club you would target Lammy and the council for forcing the clubs hand.

You may not care how much extra it costs to stay in Tottenham but the club has to fork out £60 million extra because of Harringey, lobby Lammy to lessen the clubs burden.

To finish, our history will never die, not because of a move down the road.

And i would like to know who paid for the 20,000 leaflets, Harringey council???

Good points

They're very popular with those of us who happen to live in Tottenham.
I know for a fact that your Tottenham through and through, but if the residents of Tottenham are laughing because Spurs fans are getting tickets and being towed away for following their club, then they don't deserve the cash cow on their doorstep.
I have finished work many a time and rushed up to the lane to catch a game only to be rewarded with a bloody ticket for my trouble.
Can you honestly say the local council do their best to help the club? I lost all respect for Harringey when PC Blakelock was murdered in the Tottenham riots, and that knob Bernie Grant said the police got a good kicking.
As far as I'm concerned the local council only get involved with Spurs when it suits their agenda, and Lammy is a knob of the highest order. Tottenham put millions into Harringey through its charity work, and the club is seen by the council as a bloody cash cow. The sooner we move out the bloody better.

And those of us who actually live here do like to get home from work and find a parking space outside our own house, or at least in the same street.

Whether you agree with the club exploring Stratford or not what is indisputable is that the "we are N17" campaign is against the club's interests. If you want the club to stay in N17 then you need the maximum pressure on Haringey and the government to reduce the costs of doing so. Turning up the pressure on the club only serves to reduce the pressure on Haringey and is hence plainly counterproductive.

Say yes to Tottenham.

Fans of Tottenham Hotspur will not stand by whilst the custodians of our club use the power entrusted to them to destroy our heritage and the local community.

We need your help.

Tottenham Hotspur - it's in the name.

Custodians of the club eh? How very nostalgic. Did these people miss Spurs floating on the stock exchange 2 decades ago or something?

From a personal stand-point, while I might be able to see the business reasons behind a move to Stratford, I just can't accept that move. I will stop supporting the club if this happens. I will perhaps form FC Tottenham. Is anybody here good at football?
