Oh I completely agree, maintaining that tie as any other would be entirely advantageous. But I was just pointing out it seems that the individual connection, which has since been pointed out to be Sherwood, no longer seems there.

The club I'd really like to see us further relations with is Brentford. Seem to play nice football and a similar lineup in a 4-2-3-1, and seem instructed to do a good amount of high pressing. With the rumors of the coach leaving at the of the season that may all change of course.

Yeah, I agree re: Brentford. They'd hopefully bring in someone with similar tactics as they've got the personnel to implement them and they've obviously seen some success with it.

LOL, why would he sign back for us just so we can make a profit? Think about it guys, not happening.

Actually, Stuttgart did exactly this with the sale of Joshua Kimmich to Bayern Munich at the beginning of January. They triggered a "re-buy" clause they made in a sale to Leipzig in 2013, then sold him. The player may have no choice in such things, and if he's moving anyway I can't imagine he'd care too much.

Point is, it isn't outside the realm of possibility, especially while Levy is undoubtedly trying to wrap up every penny he can to push forward the stadium.

I don't the Luongo love-in here. Not being disrespectful & everyone has their own opnions but I say him play live a couple of times during the Asian Cup and a few times on TV and while I thought he was a tidy player he's far from premiership quality (imvho). I know he's young but there are plenty of players already on our books that are euqlly, if not more promising than Massimo.

I'd love to be proved wrong as an Aussie in the Spurs 1st team would be a dream come true for me (and I'm sure all our Aussie supporters).

Like someone else said, Levy would have had a sell on clause inserted anyway, really wouldnt see an extra couple of hundred thousand pushing anything forward TBH, let alone a new stadium.

For that amount, yeah absolutely you're right. But I think if a sizable enough profit were involved, just as with Kimmich, I wouldn't put it past Levy.

A sell-on clause would certainly negate that, but those are two rather hefty strings to put into the same deal. Also possible, considering we would have the upper end of the table in negotiations, but I wouldn't count on even Levy pulling that off along with a buyback clause.

If it happens I'll gladly admit you were right, dont see it myself.

Oh I'm not arguing it will happen as I entirely agree with you it's unlikely, just saying that it's at least a possibility given we have Levy and especially because he undoubtedly wants every penny he can to speed up the stadium process.

Haha so yeah, I'm probably just wasting your time as he'll probably just swiftly go somewhere in the Championship this summer and we'll not hear of it again.
