I think we have been less creative but as the seasons worn on we are a more solid unit and over x mas we were playing great footie we have had a dip in creativity and the quality of our footie but we are picking up results. I think Parker is playing well but he can't cover the ground that sandro does. We have also changed our style and not had a striker for a couple of games. I think when we had a break before the x mas run in where we were playing once a week we improved there was more time to work on the training g ground. We need a quality striker and a Vdv, which Holtby hopefully will be. We have needed a quality striker since Bebatov and Keane left. Also we have just come off a run fixture heavy with mid week games fingers crossed the little break will re vitalise us.

Despite being out for as long as he has been now... He's still 2nd in the PL in interceptions. He was #1 by a longshot before his injury.

We miss him massively, and the Lyon game was a perfect example of why.

Whilst I love Parker's tackling ability and his general all-round tenacity, his positioning isn't on a par with Sandro's and that can allow teams to stroll through our midfield a bit too easily without the beast around to stop them.

Lyon did it repeatedly on Thursday, and although Parker can't be blamed entirely for that, it does seem to have happened more since Sandro got injured.

I think Parker and Dembele will improve as they get used to eachother's style of play (as Sandro and Dembele did) but there's no doubt we miss Sandro.

Yes I made this point the other day after the match. Parker will go and chase down the man with the ball even if he is moving towards Dembele's 'zone', a competent team can easily then spring a runner into the space Parker has vacated and so receive the ball going at our defence.

He certainly has to curb his instincts to go and hunt the ball down and win it back, and hold his position sometimes. Trust others to do their jobs and win the ball back, don't just take it all upon himself.

Maybe he still thinks he is playing with last years midfield, where it was pretty much left to him to do all the defensive work!

Parker doesn't see the bigger picture, he just chases after the ball and lacks discipline to play the holding role. In attack he tries to take on too much responsibility too, and unfortunately failing due to his lack of technical ability. However what we do lack with Sandro gone other than his superior defensive ability is his sheer size and athleticism advantage he has over everyone else.

I think he plays the holding role well. I also think he sees the attacking opportunities very well. Unfortunately he seems to have absolutely no idea of the weight of a pass. Much like using a sledge hammer to crack a nut!

I think we dominate possession less without Sandro and don't win it back high up the pitch as often but Parker is getting there hopefully. Our strikers and midfield need to get together and formulate a plan that isn't wait for Defoe to get back. Adebayor should be embarrassed by the money he is earning compared to his goal tally. He has had a disgraceful season so far.

As others have said, we could have used him in our last match and next one! as much as Parker did last season he isnt the same player this season, but is still a good player, but Sandro is the main CM for me between them.

He puts his body on the line in every game! reminds me a bit of how Tainio used to play, no care about getting hurt.

Next season.

Also levy should have pulled the trigger on leandro.

Levy is going to shoot Leandro?! Just hope its not from behind a closed door, we know that excuse wont work any more.
