Aston Villa have had the balls to tell Liverpool to put up or shut up. I do hope that we are doing the same to Manure - put your 28m offer in writing by say August 7 or Berbatov goes nowhere . I don't see Villa worrying about whether Barry will have a bad attitude - they pay his wages which are no doubt less substantial than Berbatov's. As has been said before the double standards of Ferguson re Berbatov and Ronaldo are there for all to see. Good on Villa for making a stand.

I agree, we should sign Villa and sell Berbatov. That's what you're saying isn't it?

I know it's not really, but that would have been a better idea.

Hope he stays and we get Huntelaar/Villa to play alongside. Think that we could be awsome this season.

Huntelaar needs to be signed up now! I'm hoping Levy gets the chance to bump into Huntelaar while wandering around Feyenoord tomorrow!

Villa are holding onto Barry cos they didn't get the moeny not becasue they any more balls then us. If Liverpool hadn't paid the money Levy wanted we'd still ahve Keane.

Besdies I won't fully believe Barry is staying until the windows closes

I thought we should hold onto Berbatov but he will make such a pain of himself that he has to go .

I don't think we should. Berbatov (from reports) is likely to be detrimental to the team ethos and all signs point to Ramos planning life without him.

Bent is more than capable of doing the business and if Arshavin comes in then we have plenty of ammo and can let the grumpy guts go.

Why would you want to keep a player (good as he is) who quite clearly does not want to play for our beloved Club!!? Get rid ASAP!

Would much rather have an up for it, enthusiastic, sharp D Bent - who actually WANTS to play for and give his all for the Club!

Berby is a class act and will be a better team with him in the side and a worse one without him.

Too true. And those jumping on the Bent bandwagon because he scores a hatful against Norwich and Orient will I fear be sadly disappointed. And does Barry really want to play for Villa ? Obviously not. But he will get over it. And if Berbatov stays he will get over it too.

Berbatov is our best player.

He has never slagged the club off, and has acted professionally for the last 2 years while being linked to a lot of clubs.

He may look moody but can change pace in a flash losing his marker and scoring a blinding goal.

Anyone who will not miss him is an idiot. :bang:

Yes! He has been Englands top goal scorer playing in front if a shite midfield at Chalton. He has all the attributes to a great success at Spurs;- great pace, very good in the air, powerful, makes good runs in behind, holds the ball up and is a good finisher. Give him a chance, a run of games with our current creative midfield and watch him score a hatfull of goals. He has all the attibutes that scare the shit out of defenders.

Give the man a chance, he deserves it.

Have you forgotten the disgraceful way he acted up at Newcastle? Refusing to warm up after being told that he was going on? Thoroughly unprofessional and embarrassing. Ok, he did sort himself out as the season went on putting in some wonderful performances and the man is a genius! But do you really believe in your heart of hearts that he wants to play for us with passion and commitment? Especially after he has told Levy that he wants to leave for Man U?? Again, why keep a player who doesn't want to be there?

Come on people, we want/need players who are 100% committed do we not?

As the great man once said:- "Any player coming to Spurs whether he's a big signing or just a ground staff boy must be dedicated to the game and to the club. He must be prepared to work at his game. He must never be satisfied with his last performance, and he must hate losing."

Only players who want to wear the Shirt need stay/sign. If you want to leave the club, leave. The badge is more important than any name on it. That is why the badge is on the front and the name on the back.

Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur!

The late great Bill Nicholson.

Sell at the right price - we won't be bullied.

Having said that I can't see him playing for us in the coming season. The club has announced that he has had a change of heart - these things happen and you just have to let go.

I would have fond memories of Berba.

I would love berbatov to stay, but only if he wants to, if the rumours are true of him refusing to get changed etc....then why would we want a player like that?

The man's skill is sublime, I would love it, but I do not want the sulky, hissy fitting, that we have seen on some occasions. Why would we want some one that casts a negative air over the rest of the team?

This is what I don't understand, some people seem to be saying that without him that we are going to lose it all, but with some of the signings, and some of the potential signings I personally think that we can go somewhere next season and it can only be up!!

Think he'd be any better than Bent? Think again.

Why on earth would Levy be wandering around Feyenoord? Why would Huntelaar?
