It's because most Tottenham fans still think we are a big club but we don't have the success to back that up, especially in last 30 years

Other fans just think of us as a mid table team who always sell their best players , tries to play good football, has a crap defence and has the odd cup run

We talk the talk but never walk the walk

When I lived in Holland from 1998 to 2007 very little Dutch people I knew ( and they love there football) rating Tottenham as a major football force in England or Europe

I see what you mean old boy, but surely that has changed now? The night in Milan threw us onto the European scene, we're are highly rated in Italy and Ajax have sold their two best players to us, we must be held in higher esteem now?

The Partnership with Madrid appears one way, but we must be highly viewed in Spain. We've attracted big players, and albeit poor performances, to be linked with managers like Van Gaal and Mancini or what not, we have definitely improved? And 4th, 5th, 4th, 5th place finishes defeats any idea of us being mid table

Shows what a team who cannot just go out and buy who they want can achieve when they keep their best players instead of selling them.

I wonder if the poison dwarf takes note

I don't count trophies won by man city and chelsea, they are not football teams and should be renamed abu dhabi/oil money fc and abramovich/stolen money fc. But for a number of reasons I cannot stand liverpool, especially as 99% of the media are ex liverpool players and I can't stand the nauseating bias and fawning over them.
Also they are the reason that we didn't get champions league when we finished 4th and chelsea won the thing. This is because uefa changed the rules when the scousers won in Istanbul and would not have qualified by the previous rules as they didn't finish in the top 4. On that occassion uefa kindly put everton (who finished 4th) and liverpool through but of course good old Spurs were the ones to lose out because of the rule and will be the only team to ever miss out because of this rule.
Thanks for that scousers

Liverpool just haven't allowed City to settle at all, breathtaking stuff.

It is depressing but Liverpool fans were thinking the same regarding us when we had Bale, Modric, VDV etc. Can only just hope that our time comes around again.

Do you remember everyone calling the bookies idiots because Liverpool were shorter odds than us to win the title?!

This season has been terrible given the huge optimism around in the summer. Just want it to end now really.

Not this again. We wouldn't have sold Bale to arsenal for £40.1m and they would have sold Suarez to Real for £86m.

Gutted really. We should be up there with Liverpool. Weve been well ahead of them the last few years now look!
Shows what a bit of stability can do management and player wise can do

Our stock has gone up massively in Holland when we signed van der Vaart as he is still one of Holland's most popular players and of course that 1 season in the CL

Bringing in van Gaal will help also although he is a marmite figure in Holland as his arrogance makes Mourinho look like a nun

Indeed, stability instead of a player trading exchange

It highlights wrong choices. Rodgers or Martinez should have been our first choices for manager. Instead we have a young tried and tested guy the job, sold his best player whilst bringing in lower rate versions of who he wanted and threw him out when it went tits up. If Levy doesn't get a wake up call from this, then he never will.

Shows what good management can do. Stability is pointless if it's the wrong set-up and the wrong player selection. Arsenal have more stability than anyone and they're not in the title race
