I think the key word is 'if'.

He simply wouldn't leave the Gooners for another job. He might leave because he agrees with the owners that he's taken them as far as he can (hopefully next summer) or that he gets a serious illness or gets arrested, but leaving for somewhere else is next to impossible. Even if he does go to another club/side, then it won't be because he wants to leave the Scum.

We can but hope though.

Yeah, TCO, this is surely a swap for Hleb in some ways.

Should imagine he'll also bring in a 15-20m striker to replace 'the man whose father has never and will ever wash elephants may God have mercy on his resting soul.'

Which basically means that they'll start the season much the same as they finished last but with an extra 5-10m in the bank and 2 less proven players in key roles. Or, more likely, a 5-10m replacement for Flamini (also unproven, too).

They'll still be there or thereabouts but I sense that this season will be similar to 2 years ago for the Scum, where we let them off the hook after they signed some untried players (Adebayor, etc) and we had a tidy, settled outfit. This time, hopefully, we won't make the same mistake and we'll be avoiding any Marriott hotels and meat and cheese-based pasta meals.
