We were better with 11 men, even without key players like Parker, Kaboul, Ekotto, and Dembele, and they basically had their best side out today.

I'm certain that if we had played them at WHL, and we had our best players, we would thump them. They aren't that good, and we can definitely finish above them.

We know that! They know that!

Just one of those freak instances you can't implement into your preparation.

We would of slaughtered them if they went down to 10 (although we were already beating them)

It's not a true reflection of the teams abilities

Unfortunately we do have these injuries and will pick up others as the season goes on. We have a first XI who will give any team a game. Unfortunately our squad is in terrible shape. We're back to the days of good team, thin squad.

The problem stems deeper than just injuries. The problem is that even though we've had injuries that will undoubtedly hinder your squad depth, we simply don't have quality depth available. Losing one player (Dembele) should not completely drop the form of the whole side when you expect to challenge for a Top 4 position.

Huddlestone can not be the catalyst from midfield, he's just simply not able to anymore. I honestly think if Carroll were given an opportunity he might be able to offer more. I thought he looked very good today, and unlike Hudd, he can find pockets of space quickly to provide an outlet to keep possession.

I think a lot of our shortcomings this season comes from a failure on Levy's part to really address the lack of depth. Our striker position has been fragile and we all knew it. And yes, we brought in Ade. But we all knew we needed another. Now, if want to continue a two-striker front (which we've undoubtedly played our best with) it will be with Dempsey and Defoe. Defoe is a terrible partner as when he's in the box all he knows is for him to take the shot despite having better outlets. Dempsey is not a true striker in my opinion, so it's just going to be an awkward pair.

It's just very frustrating to go through the same thing transfer window after transfer window trying to be the best penny-pinching 'big club' in the PL. We sold a ton, and we undoubtedly brought in some as well, but it's well known we do have money to spend, I just don't understand why we didn't go the extra bit to ensure we had a squad that can withstand injuries to a couple of key players.

I hope we'll come out stronger out of this and not dig ourselves down like we did last season after losing at the Library 2.0. We've got them at home in the spring and with 11 men, we'll give them a run for their money. All things considered, I reckon we are the better team, but playing at home in a derby is extremely important. This was their 3rd win in 8 derbys, not overly impressive TBH.

Let's have a 5-0 at WHL instead.

Levy's determination to make a profit each window has left us in a position of no squad depth, with our track record getting injuries it is a poor position to be in. You just know Levy has unrealistic expectations this season after another poor transfer window.

They are better drilled and better trained than us .

The main difference is the clubs , not the players .

We might not like to admit it but Arsenal have been better run than Spurs for the last 25 years and still are from the boardroom down through the coaching staff .
