Chelsea and Spurs on alert as Wesley Sneijder is valued at £12.75m by Galatasaray



Dutchman won the Treble at Inter with Mourinho and fancies a reunion, but he has his admirers at White Hart Lane too

Jose Mourinho has been told he can have a reunion with Wesley Sneijder in exchange for £12.75million.
The Galatasaray midfielder worked with the Special One to clinch the Italian league and cup Double and European Cup at Inter Milan three years ago.

Injuries and poor form, however, have seen Sneijder lose the Holland captaincy to Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.

He recently declared himself interested in again working with Mourinho, who will set about tweaking the Stamford Bridge squad he inherited from Rafa Benitez after being officially unveiled on Monday.

And Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has told the west Londoners that the 29-year-old can go if the price is right. He said: “I have been following the rumours about Sneijder, but we have not received an offer for him.
“If an offer in the region of €15million (£12.75m) comes in, we might decide to sell him though.”

Those comments could also interest Spurs, who are long-time admirers of the midfield schemer.

Sneijder is seen at White Hart Lane as the kind of experienced leader that Andre Villas-Boas’ side have lacked in recent seasons.

Pretty sure it's per season, and not per calendar year.

If we wanted him and we would pay his wages, he would of signed in Jan. I'm sure. €15m is more than what they paid.

I guess that ruling holds true within same season.

Gala got him just for 5million Euros. Obviously they dont mind selling him at 15million euros.

Sneijder hasnt done bad for them. He was coming back from a injury and bit rusty - I remember him scoring & assisting a goal against RM in CL. He did finish the season well for them.

There is no question on his form but only on his fitness. Dutch captaincy was stripped from him because of it. He has already said fitness is highest on his to do list this summer and is motivated to cement his place in side for world cup next year.

Sneijder earns 5 million euros a season. So any transfer fee around 10million Euros makes to me.

Sell Hudd for 6million pounds & get him and let Carroll be his understudy.

Realistically, I cant see this happen anyway

As for the "2 clubs" rule, that's within a season, not a 12 month period. He would be fully eligible to join any other club this season.....

yeah but they buy young players that other teams want, not an older player that just played an uninspired season at Gala. I don't think we want Sneijder either, and would be surprised if Liverpool did too.

Even if it wasn't as the others had said in a season, he didn't play a match for Inter in 2013
