Has anyone noticed how ever since that horrible horrible day in may at upton park, how their club has crumbled

they were 9th in the lge and how they celebrated that fact (it was that they were celebrating so wildly wasn't it :) and in the Cup final

the next week they blew the cup final after being two up

since then we have outperformed them every season (nothing remarkable in that i know - but it's still nice) and they haven't beaten us once head to head

they have had TEvezgate, bankrupt billionaires and now languish in the relegation zone

'they laughed themselves to bits - but haven't been laughing since :)

Good enough for them. Should end up down where they belong come the end of the season.

They can suck my dick to be fair. There's a girl I fancy at work & her boyfriend is a hammer, he makes me dislike them even more.

My grandad is West Ham too, I take pleasure in ribbing him at present.

A clenched fist is all they mustered from me with their defeat last night though. Screw their pathetic little piss pot of a club.

I used to have no problem with their club (in many ways still don't) and over the years they have played better football than most - not as good as us of course, which rankles i'm sure :)

but so many of their fans are/were really horrible to us - and those obscene celebrations over what in fact was the confirmation of a 9th place cemented a divide that i doubt can ever be bridged now between the two clubs

so while i don't believe in fate, karma and the rest - it is very pleasing to think that since that day they've gone backward - whereas we fought our way back from that 'hammer' blow - won a trophy and as i say have outperformed them ever since - which is nice :)

They're just a pub team from Dagenham. All bark, no bite.

they've certainly got a lot of deluded fans who think they are as 'big as us' or could be if only they got a bit of luck

they're 13 trophies behind us - probably about 40 behind us in terms of lge finishes - my guess would be about 70-30 to us over the past 100 seasons - and yet they lots of them think they're on some kind of a par with us

as delusional fans go i reckon they're right near near the top with the likes of toon sunderland and leeds

I wouldn't want to see them get relegated, they give good London derby games and it's a guranteed 6 points a season for us for the last few years lol

Did anything happen to West Ham after the Millwall holliganism game?

about 4 or 5 of my footy team are spanners. the banter is constant lol. if wham were to disappear as a club, in a strange way id kind of miss them. because no matter how shit we seem to be doing they are always worse off!

As a kid I used to go to Wham games you could back in those days of terraces.
I never used to mind them, they tried to play football and there was always atmosphere at their ground.
But then their fans became incredibly bitter at I just can't forgive the way their fans celebrated after Lasagnegate.
I hope they go down . I hope they lose in the League to Millwall then Orient then dagenham and redbridge and then go all the way down and lose to East ham reserves.
I hope they get more than one song as well.

They did win the world cup...... Having half my family spurs and half bubble blowers, is quite fun around christmas. They're like annoying little brother, that will get one over you once in a while but youre the one constantly giving them a slap. Also i have to be nice to them, as the bloke who cuts my hair is a spammer .

well said - that day in May ended it once and for all between us and west ham - no more Relate - no going back for one more try - it's over between us :)

and how wonderful that since that awful day they've struggled so much

and bubbles - what a way to ruin a good song

probably there are times when it works - but most of the time it sounds like a dirge with half the notes missing

still a dirge is very suitable for the hammers these days

Even better, imagine us having them away last day of the season, and sending them down and us 4th .

I remember it as a kind of deserved comeuppance after a season's worth of "Look how great Spurs are, look how shit West Ham are" from all my spurs mates. You don't need to take it so personally.

We were over it a few days later, we had a cup final after all.

There seems to be some sort of hex on West Ham over the last 3 years. Not sure why but the club has managed to implode from that good position.

We may or may not go down, but I think West Ham are far too good a club for that shite league, and in all truth you lot would miss us a lot more than you'd care to admit. :)

Fair enough mate, I don't have a problem with West Ham per se but some of your fans aren't the nicest people in the world. I hope you don't go down, you're a good club with a promising young coach and some decent young talent.

DC just likes to indugle in this sort of tribalism and rubbing faces in it from time to time.
