As long as you're not coloured up or opening wallets with Spurs stuff in and you can take a bit of banter, West Ham are fine.

Every year I meet a mate of mine and his mates in The Queens. They sing the usual stuff, "running round Tottenham with their willies hanging out", "I'd rather be a cricket fixing person than a Jew", that sort of thing.

I've always been able to smile and take all of that kind of stuff as I'm drinking with mates, it's no worse than when I'm drinking with them in central and we have a bit of banter, just it's easier to give it back in town.

Only trouble I've heard of in there was when a Citeh fan was in there, went for a piss and pulled out a blade and it all kicked off.

All that being said, I wouldn't go in there unless I knew people already drinking there. If you walked in on your jack jones and looked around all nervous you will get sussed out and someone will have a little chat with you.

First time we went we asked the coppers where the away pub was and they said best thing to do is to buy something from the offy and drink on the streets. That would be my advice unless meeting up with some regulars and you trust yourself not to react.

Have been there before mate but in the West Ham end. Was the season they started sharing with Charlton and lost to there new tenants 1 0. That Mike Small geezer was playing upfront for them and got on the ball. It went a bit quiet and then one bloke piped up with "Trigger, Trigger shoot that N****r!" I look around for the geezer from Only Fools with a gun. Well I was a youngster then!! ;-)
