We’d have been challenging for the title, let alone confirmed 4th, if we’d have taken the financial hit and kept Kane.

Now Bayern can’t win the league perhaps they’ll loan him for the run in..

There is quite clearly a very clear plan, the issue is some of our players are not world class so don’t product quality top top performances every week therefore we don’t win and dominate every game like fans are seemingly demanding.

The progress and transformation this season from a defensive completely negative mess under Conte, especially having also lost Kane this summer is very impressive.
I agree, but it's also interesting that so many of our goals still come from counter attacks. That DNA is still there.

We play nice football in possession but quite often it doesn't amount to much and we still score goals the old fashioned way lol

I do not want an apology from Son, nor a love letter from Kulu. I just want them to fucking win against our fucking shit neighbours. Do the fucking talking on the pitch and stop talking shit. Tonight is a shit night. The fuckers took 4 points from us this season. Simply not good enough. I’m fucking fuming. 😤

Yeah probably a fair result overall and a decent enough point to be honest. We are far from the finished article, think we'll finish 5th, Villa just a bit more consistent. Our defending from corners needs addressing pronto though.

Not very often Son hesitates to shoot but he did it all game tonight. Usually he would just got for it. All a bit strange really.

Having all that possession and doing fuck all with it needs addressing.
He's been reluctant to shoot from outside the box all season which is really frustrating considering he's like the best in the world at doing that.

Genuinely curious as to how bringing on effectively four central players would break a team camped inside 30 yards.
ae I am genuinely curious bow Bsss & Madders play 10 yards outside our box & expect to create an impact in the g game? I'm equally curious how a coach who has an almost fully fit squad decides to hardly use the depth of our bench to change the game?

what a shit advert for 'wanting to win'. This draw is all on Ange ...he needs to own up for his shit performance. WH were there for the taking and he refused to gamble for the points - if he brought on deki, PEH, Sarr & GLC at half time, we would have won by at least 2 goals. If Ange thinks he's gonna win the league with these shit tactics he best use the break to brush up on the PL - where even poor teams win games through sheer will of force & by rolling the dice
Is this a serious post or a bit of satire?

I wonder how much of this is instructions as yea tonight we were pretty shot shy.
It's a bit frustrating to watch, and it happens so often it must be a plan, but then again against a bus team like West Ham they're very good at blocking shots, so presumably the intention is to work something undefendable like Johnson's goal

If our 'plan' is reliant on world class players then I don't know what to tell you except we aint getting to where we want to get to. The football is insipid, slightly more enjoyable than Conte but its boring insipid football right now.

Trossard could have put Martenelli in the other day in the exact same circumstances as Kulu just then. Except Kulu has like 5 players to pick out. I'm shocked he didn't just do a random ball for them to get on the end of it. So odd.
Kulu isn’t and has never been a great consistent passer tbh.

He’s a good player for sure but passing has never been his strength really, he gives the ball away quite often tbh.

I don't think so unfortunately. We concede far too many goals to be challenging at the top.

Ange has real problems here, we've gone backwards in the last 3 months, which is in direct contravention to his mantra of developing and progressing being the most important thing. He needs a variant of his style to employ.
Just can’t agree with this

Poor quality overall, especially in the final third. Thought the Richy substitution could/should have been made about 20 minutes before it did, these types of games don't suit Sonny at all playing the CF.
Probably a good point in the end, but so frustrating watching us try to break down teams set up like that.

He can’t lead the line or effectively play against teams with a low block, this is perfectly obvious..

Our biggest weakness is not our defending (although from set pieces that’s pretty gash), it’s not our midfield, it’s our forward line. We get forward, we get into positions but our decision making is average at best. So many times we make the wrong decision. We pass to the wrong player, we make the wrong run, we don’t shoot. There is just so much wrong with it and we won’t solve that this season. Teams have worked out how we play so we more and more have to break down a solid low block. We just don’t make decisions quick enough and well enough to break them down.

Son central against teams who sit back doesn't work well. How many teams set up like this against us now? We have to find answers. We clearly miss Kane but any real quality number 9 would make a difference in these games.
If Richarlison is in the squad, he should start. Against a physical side who sit back Son as a No. 9 is useless. Also thought, that Porro had a poor night too. He was with the spanish national team, maybe Ange should have given him a rest.
