"It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low, and we of Spurs have set our sights very high. So high, in fact, that even failure will have in it an echo of glory." - Bill Nicholson

But what does the word 'glory' mean to you?

Defeating evil with panache and a respect for how the game is played.
(again beating scum 5-1 defined it for me)

Beating people. Beating teams. In to the ground. Burying them. Not necessarily by huge goal margins, but by overall play, out-passing, out-moving, which generally leads to an inevitable out-scoring.

The biggest Glory Glory night I've had is probably the 5-1 - which had it all. Our fiercest opposition, our biggest task in recent years, and our best all round performance.

the three heroic victories at city, v afc & cfc in the lge cup were the very epitome of glory

we had a massive debate about this on the front page recently- for me winning trophies rather than 5th place is where glory is to be found - when it's done in the style & fight & mental brilliance we acheived in those 3 ties (4 games) then glory is found

Being a true Spurs fan is unlike supporting any other club in the world.

Many clubs talk about doing things the right way and playing football the right way, but all of the same fans would do anything to win trophies. Not a Spurs fan we would rather lose 5-4 and talk about the great football we played than win 1-0 and play with no style and flair.

You if we break it down being a Spurs fan isn't really about winning or losing (sure we all love that winning feeling) it's about the ride, its about knowing that our team went out there and tried its very best to play with style and panache and knowing that victory at the cost of our pride and tradition is not a victory at all.

The word Glory has the defition written in the dictionary but when used in talking about our great club it takes on a new meaning. It stands for the "Spurs Way", it conjures up images of the past players, the great victories but in equal measures the glorious defeats which are just as important to being a Spurs fan.

We are a truly unique breed and should always embrace the traditions that trickle down from the club and run through our blood.

TO DARE IS TO DO. says it all really.
