Personally, I try not to let banter affect me, but it hits closer to home when it comes to my 11-year-old. He's consistently on the receiving end of banter at school for being a devoted fan. The strength he shows, facing it with resilience and unwavering passion, tugs at my heart. It's more than just football; it's a shared journey, a bond that goes beyond the pitch.

His strength in the face of banter makes me proud as a dad and a fellow Spurs supporter.
The amount of times I've read about your son being 11 years old, I'm sure he must be about 34 by now

  • Howay United, fuck them up
    :headbang:
  • If we make Richarlison look good today then we are more knackered than I thought even.
  • FFS... should be 1-0 to us.
  • Son is a horrible whingey fucker
  • We'll win this
  • Would be nice of Spurs to let us have the ball for a bit. Just to test the water a little
  • Been coming that. We've been fucking shite.
  • Feel shit, just want last season back
  • Coming that. Trippier on toast by Son
  • Could get murdered here if Spurs fancy it tbh.
  • We need to keep this to 1-0.
  • This could get ugly
  • That one touch pass round the corner is knackering our entire shape off the ball every single time.
  • Cutting through us with ease. Far too many of our players are just not up for the intensity required here today
  • Cook up a dodgy £25m move for Almiron to Saudi in Jan imo
  • Trippier AGAIN for fucks sake.
    This is fucking shite.
  • Richarlison, who hasn't scored in 19 starts. Always fucking us
  • Fucking wank
  • Abysmal
  • Son has Trippier on toast. Can’t believe we let him score
  • Can see a ruddy hammering
  • Son is killing Trippier
  • Wonder how many will they get
  • Trips will be having nightmares aboot Son the neet.
  • No wonder teams get at Spurs, another team would have punished them today, however good they've been going forward.
  • It's all them
  • Son has Trippier on rollerskates
  • Can't argue with this, scoreline is about right
  • They're doing to us, what we do at home to teams
  • Looks like Spurs made an active decision to target Trippier, and it's paying dividends.
  • Worst thing about this is the spurs wankathon will be back on, they have 3 players out and it’s a crisis ffs. We have an entire team out until we can’t make subs and the media doesn’t make half a fuss.
  • This is gonna be 5 nil
  • It should be 6-2 already
  • This is going to be a pumping. Blaa the whistle now
  • Neville is such a backward ****. We have 11 players out injured and one banned for 10 month, the problem isn’t that ‘we aren’t used to it’.
  • Romero and Porro were destroyed by is at home and they look world class today
  • Not sure I want to even watch the second half tbh
    :(
  • Spurs aren't even very good
    They are on the ball
  • Spurs are much better than us in working the ball through to dangerous areas, and look very strong in winning the 50-50 balls. I'm just hoping it doesn't become a hammering.
The minute Son had Trippier on a 1 v 1, I knew he'd get past. They've got some good players.
  • Great to see a nice balanced Sky panel - Michael Dawson and Jamie Redknapp. Surprised they don't just go the whole hog and have Darren Anderton and Alan Sugar doing the commentary.
  • Spurs don't even bother defending, have a fucking go at them!
They also clearly can't last much beyond an hour as they're all so knackered from all that Bielsa-esque running around.
  • Disgusting goal to concede
  • Reckon this could be 5 or 6 by the time it's done
  • Stop! Stop! We’re already dead…
  • Put “Sonny” in hospital please
  • Could be 8 and we couldn't complain
  • 1 more and I'm taking the dog out.
  • I don't think I've turned a match off since Howe took over but today I can't be arsed with it and went and done the dishes instead.
  • What a **** Romero is. Hope he's locked in his house with 50 rabid XL bullies.
  • Fucking Romero... dirty bastard.
  • That's not just a red, that's a fucking ban
  • What is the point of VAR? Most blatant red you’ll ever see
  • Cracking pen.
  • Fuck off Son, you cheating prick
  • Commentators going completely OTT re Spurs here
  • Son is detestable
  • Dog eater makes it 4
    none of that
  • No need for racism man. Fucking hell.
  • Racist ****.
  • A bit of casual racism to end the day. Sweet
  • This should have been 7-0. Atrocious all round

I have to say, I’m not sure about their comments regarding the media going on about our injury situation and ignoring theirs (basic summary). Certainly Sky seemed to mention it regularly yesterday along with how tired they are and barely acknowledged the amount of injuries Spurs have also been hit with (apart from Maddison because the cameraman decided to zoom in on him in the stand!).
This is in addition to the pre-match stuff of ‘let’s show Newcastle smashing loads of goals past Spurs!’
I’m just annoyed as I had tickets but gave them away as my Wife wasn’t well and I missed us stuffing them without having to listen to all the Sky Sports bollocks!

  • this game will end 3-0 for either side
  • Incredible defending
  • Son is such a dirty player.
  • Spurs final ball is atrocious. Like a team of 11 Dembele's.
  • Easy to see why Spurs didn't care about sending Reguilon our way. Udogie was a quality signing.
  • What a player
  • Let's see if spurs can hold on to this lead
  • No Maddison no problem
  • Spurs play some proper quality football in build up. What's so impressive about them is how they've just kept doing what they believe in even when the results have been really bad.
Shows how much the players are buying into what the manager is doing.
  • Getting Son out of the box, playing him on the wing was very wise, at least he can deliver a proper ball, desperately missed this after Madison was out injured.
  • If only Utd could swap Son for Rashford…
Very intelligent player. I don't enjoy pilling on our players but if both our wide men had half his intelligence on the ball we'd be far more dangerous as a team.
  • Brennan Johnson is a real talent.
  • Spurs have been excellent
  • Kulusevski is so good, a bit underrated I think because he's a bit more traditional and doesn't get the goals the modern wingers do
  • That's a red
  • Stamp + double foul. Red anyday
No VAR review? Good to know VAR is consistently shit
  • Sick of the fecking state of refereeing. It’s beyond a joke now. Disgusting.
  • It’s awful, but against these pricks, I’ll take it.
  • Yet again refereeing and PGMOL in the mud. They are hopeless. Hopeless.
  • Son has been great.
  • Nice to see Newcastle battered

I thought the same.

it's not a bias on any club but just shite punditry.

Neville put our recent results down to being a bit Spursy yesterday rather than acknowledging that we have played the majority of them with a back line consisting of 4 fullbacks and missing our most creative player.

Arsenal Mania
  • This has been good control from Sp**s over Newcastle, pinning them back like this and creating wave after wave of attack.
Mature performance so far. As much as I don’t like it, I can respect it
  • One of those games where you wish both teams could lose
  • Wasnt Son crying like he had career threating injury after last game? How is he playing?
  • Best name in football Destiny Udogge scores
  • Son superb there
  • Sp.rs cutting the Toon up left and right
  • Five players for Sp**s in the box there
  • Ange's style of football so much easier on the eye then the monstrosity we were forced to witness in Birmingham
  • Pat Nevin on the BBC ... "nothing you can do to stop Son"
  • I wonder if Sp**s benefit from all the northern referees hating Arsenal through the Fergie years. Probably still some culture that likes to give them benefits just to annoy us
  • Noooo pigeon boy scored a legit goal
  • Son superb again
  • Trippier not coping with Son, at all!
  • Sp**s cooking. Fair play
  • FFS Son, stop picking out your teammates
  • You should be relegated if you concede to Pigeon Boy.
  • Son must be on a sh*t-ton of drugs every night. I imagine it must eat at him to sleep knowing every single goal he scored or assisted are completely irrelevant...I f*cking love it
  • Exhilarating stuff.
  • Son almost with Hat rick of assists in first half. Insane performance so far he just runs ball straight through Newcastle every time he gets played the ball
  • Sp**s got Son, Sarr and Bissouma away in january right? Asian cup and AFCON?
Mid season break will reduce a lot of the games they’ll miss.
    Sp**s should be fine.
  • And he still has to do his army service.
Didn't he win a tournament with South Korea to get an exemption a few years ago?
  • Neville saying Newcastle are struggling because they played midweek, even tho Sp**s played the same day
  • Ange's style of football is entertaining, has to be said.
  • Conte rated Hjorberg and Skipp ahead of sarr and bissouma. This is the biggest difference to Sp**s. Their central midfield has improved a lot
  • Sp**s have done well to limit Newcastle’s transitions though, that control bodes well for Ange going forward.
  • Son gets ball and just runs straight through them and drives into box he can’t be allowed to keep running at their defenders with a head of steam.
  • Newcastle struggling with so many injuries. Such a shame, else they’d smash the Spuds. Howe such a good manager.
  • Newcastle you c*nts
  • The pigeon does it again
  • Richie has more PL goals than JaySus
  • Wow Kulu today
Do they have the right to complain about the ref or is that exclusive for Legohead?
What did the ref do wrong today? They’ve been outplayed badly, it could genuinely be 6-0
  • Spuds have played really well tbf. Can tell they’ve got a few players back fit.
  • This is a massacre by Sp**s today.
Their best performance of the season today, and this is the type of foundation Ange should build on, to create a strong team.
Balance between attack and defence, and control of the game. Well done. (SA Gunner)
  • Ange masterclass. Another summer window and it could be scary
  • Depressing weekend
  • Hoping for few bad injuries to Sp**s.
  • Nahhhhhh wait is this Tottenham Hotspur or Barca ‘09?!?
  • Bissouma is a class player
  • Get him off, red card.
  • This Romero guy would be on the roads if not for football
  • He would be in jail. Just old school violent guy
  • remember Martinelli getting a red for two incidents deemed as yellows within a short time. How Romero doesn’t get sent off, God knows.
  • Romero needs sectioning
  • Such a dirty **** of a player, should be off.
Disgusted Messi carried Romero to a World Cup win, overrated as ****...was getting smashed by Saudi Arabia and Weghorst and Sp**s fan act like he was 2006 Cannavaro in that tournament
  • Captain sontastic
  • Tiresome stuff on here.
Seems to be full of Sp**s supporters. Lol.
  • Maybe if you can't handle it you should stay away from the football thread and stay in arsenal main thread and try to improve your support for the team instead.
  • Cry more you little sperm

Haha try being the only Tottenham fan at a West Midlands school with a potential defensive lineup of Dean Austin, Stuart Nethercott, Kevin Scott and Justin Edinburgh screening the ever reliable Ian 'No hands' Walker.

School bants makes the man.

Amongst the negative comments, when we play well same with our fans to them, some of their fans do tend to call it out and respect it, both fans know good football when they see it.

I agree with that. Its good when fans just have football banter and real football chat. I hate Arsenal, but when they were cooking under Wenger, it was quality. Even now, when they play well, they play some cracking stuff. But would still love to see them relegated.
