I like how they keep mentioning Mings as if him being out is a big loss. That guy is not very good and it's a blessing in disguise for them as Pau Torres is so much better.

Torres was also on the bench for them, so at the start of the game they had just five players out, which is nothing in comparison to us.

Not to mention Cash is hardly a miss (unless he's taking others out).
Buendia has hardly been an important player either.

All of Martinez, Bailey, Diaby, Watkins, McGinn, Carlos, Konsa have been available and I'd say that is still a capable group for them.

The only big misses for them are Torres and Kamara, and its only a couple of games out anyway.

The North Stand (Brighton)

  • Not hopeful about tonight, getting through the game without further injuries is paramount
  • Come on lads, make my week. I F***ING hate Tottenham and their insipid, needy fans.
  • It's got nil-all written all over it
  • Oh my, it's tough to see RDZ in that presser. I hope we can get a point, and no more injuries please. I don't use the word hate that often but together with Spurs it really fits. A winner in the 96:th minute will do fine, thank you!
  • This next game could be season-defining.
  • An Aussie ref and Aussie manager of a bigger club than ours, what can go wrong.
  • So excited
  • Never mind the history, we really need a win so let’s go for it. We know that on our day we can beat anyone, perhaps today is the day. After a Christmas break the lads should be rested and ready , so even without our Japanese maestro… and I can watch it on Amazon Prime ! let’s get this done !
  • Fully expect to the in the draw for the next round by lunchtime - easy win here lads, no excuses.
  • This game could go one of two ways, a win, a loss or a draw.
  • These are a good team but we we them! Who's their gravity whore now or have they started to play football?
  • Richarlison loves a dive and a moan.
  • Never forget or forgive this. 1978 in the 2nd Division. 91 arrests and 83 injured. Game held up for 14 minutes and then a further 4 when Spurs fans invaded the pitch and North Stand. I was 11 years old, watching from the West Stand and have hated them ever since. Oh yeah, we put them to the sword and won 3-1!
  • Let’s just get the two points here.
  • Brighton B v Spurs B
  • 2023 defining, at the very least
  • A win puts us on 30 points at the half way stage. We had 31 after 19 last season.
  • Any chance we can agree with Spurs to make this 5 a side?

  • I remember that day, a dog handler was running around the pitch and slipped. The dog jumped into the Spurs crowd. He/she had a good time chomping at a few fans. Good! Cheating twats.
  • Really excited about tonight, actually…
  • A team that scores in every game v a team that concedes in every game. I wouldn't be surpised if those runs come to an end today. Ain't that the way football often goes? But I'm also fully expecting a hammering.
  • Must be mad trying to get to the Amex today on trains - cancellations and delays all over the place and no trains running from Cambridge unless you want 2 hrs on a replacement bus. Having to travel North to Peterborough an extra 2 hrs journey on top of already 3 hour journey just to pick up a Thameslink train to Falmer 🙄. Packed in like a sardines, standing room only. UTA eh! 😂
  • Passing through lots of Tottenham fan areas too on that Thameslink ☹️
  • How the **** are we favourites?
  • Haven't felt this pessimistic about a match for some time. Our injury crisis is just too much. There will be players playing today out of position and/or are in need of a rest, but can't. But, with a little bit of luck we can make it through the night.

  • On a full size pitch?
  • And just for 45 minutes?
How the **** are we favourites?
  • We're unbeaten at home for seven games and Tottingham have an injured player ???
  • I will be asleep for this one and hope to wake and find 3 more points on the table. Going to bed right now.
  • Not really looking forward to this and I was someone who thought we’d get something from City away
  • aahh... Romero...such joy if he plays 😬
  • I'd rather he didn't - we really don't want any more of our players injured.

  • 0 - 0
  • Destiny Udogie returns from a ban....BBC, while full-back Destiny Udogie is suspended for Thursday's match at Brighton.....also BBC 🤷 Somebody needs to make sure reporters fact check their work, they're getting wronger and wronger
  • Royal and Davies at CB would be a start I imagine.
  • With no fullbacks or wingers available I can see Roberto unveiling a 2-2-2-2-2 formation this evening. 2 CBs, 2 DMs, 2CMs, 2 #10s and 2 9s. Ange will be as surprised as when she got Dirty Den's Christmas divorce papers.
  • With Howard Webb unavailable, I'm fascinated to see if Ange Postecoglu will opt for playing Peter Bankes in the "blind coot / ignorant-of-the-laws-of-the-game" left TV monitor position where Spurs have been more exposed recently, or if he'll play Simon Bennett there instead and put Bankes in the troublesome "thick/corrupt twat" right monitor position. I can't help thinking that the correct call by their manager could be the difference between 1 point and 3 for Spuzz.

So much bitterness.

All very odd.

I'm assuming that the lack of Bournemouth quotes in this thread is because they have no fans who have access to the internet?

Up the Cherries is sooo polite. No effs and jeffs, just saying it how they see it. Not many references to us, but where they do, then they recognise the department where we were superior. Not sure I wholly agree with this comment, but I do see where it's coming from

"Definitely outplayed Spurs for 95% of the game, but unfortunately they scored 3 goals in the other 5% "

Elsewhere, they're largely focused on their performance, and this comment tickled me no end...

"Brilliant that. At 0-3 I was saying this is possibly the best 0-3 performance ever."

:ROFLMAO:

I can't quite see SC ever having a comment like that.
