We did have some even in here banging on about being relegation candidates if he left, in fairness. No less wrong though.Kane leaving = Spurs maybe 8th at best in their tiny minds.

Blimey mate. We may well finish 8th. It’s been an inspiring start, but a couple of defensive injuries and we may struggle… let’s see how it goes for the next 10 games before we start assuming we’re fully back in the hunt… it’ll avoid the meltdowns if we hit a rough patchKane leaving = Spurs maybe 8th at best in their tiny minds.
We finished 7th last year then sold Kane and hired a coach who has never spent a minute working in any of Europe's biggest leagues. Given that the majority of fans of other clubs have no interest in following Spurs in any more than superficial detail, they can hardly be faulted for thinking - as you pointed out - the same thing a lot of Spurs fans were, especially when the Slot hire fell through.Blimey mate. Who said hunt? A European spot would be a good result and not beyond us. It would be a great start for the new regime. The idea of slipping inexorably into mid table has always been asinine.Blimey mate. We may well finish 8th. Yeh they say “it’ll be a typical spurs season and they’ll be shit” or whatever they are claiming but reality is last year was the first time in 8 years that they’ve finished above us. My kids thought it was a fluke because they’d never seen Arsenal above us.The audacity is astounding, one decent season and all of a sudden in their minds they have been troubling all the top competitions and not been a complete joke for the best part of the last decade.
anyone who thinks any other club is our 'true' rivals needs their head looking at.
tramps.
Ha ha
This randomly got me wondering who started the original thread...
What our opponents' fans are saying
*MOD NOTE... When quoting other forums try to keep an eye on the Potty mouths. The "C" word wont get caught if its copy and pasted from another forum. Cheers Thought we could have a thread where we can discuss the thoughts of our opponents, pre game and post. Whether they think they'll...www.spurscommunity.co.uk
@ajspurs thanks mate, great idea for a thread, although a lot less grammar in it these days.
Over the years I have learnt painfully that there is one team that is capable of turning around a player like Havertz form.........Hopefully we get to play them before Havertz ends up being dropped, would fancy our chances against them atm.
How very true unfortunately.Over the years I have learnt painfully that there is one team that is capable of turning around a player like Havertz form.........
That is bloody awesome. Fair play.S24SU
- I thought the Spurs fanbase were supposed to be the Blades of London - as in all pessimistic and haunted by previous events, expecting to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, just waiting for it all to go tits up. There's no way we'd ever predict double figure scorelines and be so confident. They're just more cocky southerners! Let's humble them by only losing by one goal
slut !Thank you mate!
Appreciate you making the effort that you do to keep it going
slut !
Outside the transfer windows, this is my favourite thread. Thank you.S24SU
- Heard a few of their fans on Talksport over the last few days and you would think that they're the new Man City. I know they have had a good start and are playing more adventurous football and i can understand them getting the feel good factor but some of the comments were a bit over the top.
Reckon we could stop them in their tracks, especially if their players are a bit over confident.
A draw would be great but i really fancy a sneaky win.- Not a chance
We will get hammered- They have a competent manager for the first time since forever getting them playing good football and are playing a promoted team. I'll give them a pass
- wonder what happened last time we played
- No, I think we’ll get beaten. Not battered, just beaten.
Big Ange has them playing some lovely stuff.
They’ll finish top 4 this season.- Agreed and I can them battering a lot of teams this season.
Can see us scoring, but losing 2 or 3-1- Ange had Celtic playing some lovely, relentless attacking football.
If you sit in against it you're generallystuffed. I'd like to see us play with aggression, don't try and sit in. High tempo.- I’d fancy us to play lovely relentless attacking football against St Mirren & Ross County
- They don't like it up em.
- Just get at the fuckers and have a go, i personally don’t give a shit if we lose this way, be nice to win like
- If you try and press them, you generally get stuffed
- Big north London derby week after . Hopefully they might be saving themselves for that . Blades win 2-1
- Oh wow, are Spurs are looking good and definitely going to have a shout at winning something this year?
Same as the last twenty years.- Blades win nailed on. Textbook football narrative stuff, from all angles.
- Paisley and Wizard, spot on. If we play a defensive formation and try and hold on we will lose. If we have a go at them we may sneak something and even if we don't I'd rather lose trying to win than trying not to lose.
- Realistically they will probably get the win, especially with the form they're in. There's always a chance though! Suspect we will play for the draw, and coming away with a point I'd be more than happy. Their creativity all comes from Maddison - and their attacking play all stems from him. If we can stop him then we stand a chance. Maybe get Vini to shadow him all game
- Cocky Spurs?
Not wrong, has anybody else seen the twitter message where they 'can't wait to meet Wrexham'?- I don't see us getting anything tomorrow I'd be very happy with a point. Some saying spurs top 4? Not a chance there lack of a goal scorer and the inevitable injury to maddison or son for a month or 2 will seriously hinder them, no team especially spurs can lose 30 goals a season and expect to finish top 4. Anyway 2-1 Blades
- Have Spurs fans forgot our reserves side beat them 6 months ago?
- We haven't won a game and they are 2nd in the league playing nice attractive football and are at home why wouldn't they be confident of winning
- Our first braying of the season. 4-0 or 5-0. We might just sneak a consolation goal.

- I have a feeling in my water we will get a positive result ,weather that being a win or draw I am not sure . Just think we are improving every match and a positive result is just around the corner. Hope I have not put the mockers on it now . ha ha.
- I predict a intent positive 0.1 away win at spurs and great cameron archer scores the winner for a good 3 points ..forza bladesmen..utb..
Some don't even need some bad results"Blades of London". Fairplay to the chap, he's accurate. A couple of bad results and that haunted look will return.
First time this season we face a team who’ll sit deep so looking forward to seeing how we approach this one.I know they put up a fight but they concededed 2 and should have conceded a hatful against a dog shit Everton side.
If we score early I think we’ll hammer them
Not according to their manager. They haven't won a game yet, if they don't get brave and actually try to win a game off football they'll go straight down.First time this season we face a team who’ll sit deep so looking forward to seeing how we approach this one.
They frustrated City (needed an 88th min winner) so could be tough to break down. Early goal and we’ll win by a few but get to HT at 0-0 and people may start getting twitchy
