Laws say anytime play is stopped and the ball is in the box, the ball is dropped to the goalkeeper - no matter who had possession.I was at the game and was quite surprised by the 12 to be honest. I was also surprised we only got 3 the first half, so probably evened itself out.
The keeper for all the booing basically gave up time wasting after the first half but the crowd started booing basically from the moment the ball would go out for a goal kick. Where they did waste time was players going down injured, keeper throwing his gloves off both times, then having to take time put them back on.
Side note but what on earth happened with one of those short corners where two balls came on the pitch? First time we got given possession via drop ball, but the second time the ref gave it to them, on what grounds?! We had the ball!
Thought the ref had lost it for much of that second half.
