I actually can’t wait till Sunday..normally I dread playing them at the renovated dump. This time I think we have something about us. Just wanna hear those AFTV lose the plot.

Chelsea fans are hilarious. “Where was our 16 minutes”. Mate you just needed your latest high money striker to score from 1 yard out but he blazed it over you cock womble.
Chelsea had a player booked for time wasting when 0-0 with Bournemouth after about 70 mins.

Difference is we were trying to win a game at 1-0 down against relegation candidates. They were trying to protect their point.

This isn’t aimed just at you mate, but I can’t help but feel a lot of our fans are getting way ahead of themselves.
the early signs under Ange are good...very good, but we’ve played like 5 league games and people are almost expecting us to turn them over, at their ground, where our record is fucking dreadful.
I see this as a free hit for Ange...would love a positive result but won’t be losing my shit if we get beaten.
Right now I’d snatch your hand off for a draw.

I can understand the reasoning behind it. There has been a massive disconnect between the fans and the club/team and this sort of thing is mending that. At the same time, I don't think it should be overdone. Saturday I think was a bit of a unique one though because of the nature of the victory. I think everyone's emotions were all over the place.
Can we do it on Sunday please?

Yeah agreed with that mate. Not expecting or even hoping for a win, but would be great to get a performance to be proud of there.

They might not have been firing on all cylinders up till now, but I've no doubts that they'll turn up for this fixture. They always do on their patch.

Football is meant to be enjoyed, and the supporters and the players are meant to be connected. I'm not saying it needs to be exactly like Saturday, but all the little bits we've had so far this season; huddles by the away end, going all the way to the away fans after a game, the players going all the way over the the South Stand (not just doing a bit of a clap in the centre circle), followed by Ange coming over, win lose or draw those need to happen.

Absolutely spot on. It’s going to be one of the hardest games of the season. They are riding high from last season and play good football. We are just starting out, and as long as we make a great impression of ourselves I’m happy to continue the good football.

If we play to our strengths there is no reason we cannot beat them, but to expect to beat them is something our fans shouldn’t be doing.

I’d take a draw right now if it was offered to me.

Winner! I just want us to go there and show something because the last few performances have been nothing short of embarassing! At least we know we will be having a go at them, even if we get turned over which let's be honest is highly likely because they're a very good team. They have the CL Wednesday and although they're at home, their focus will be fully on that. They will get a day off Thursday so won't be fully concentrating on our game until at least Friday. We however will have been on the NDL from Monday so have no excuses regarding preparation. I have zero expectations for the game Sunday but it's refreshing that I'm not dreading it for the first time in a good few years.

Yeah. I love that we can prepare for the game from yesterday and they cant prepare for us until at least Thursday.

Yeah completely agree with this. A draw would be a huge result. Even a narrow loss would not be a bad thing as long as we are competitive and it’s close

Nah, I'm going to twist. There is every possibility we can win, so I'll take my chances!!

Anyone suggesting we need to calm down needs to have a look at the Club Motto. We have a full week of prep, they don't. Fuck our history at their stadium! When was the time we felt this good about our club? We might lose, but I'm confident we'll put up a good fight.

As supporters we have to at least HOPE we will win.
Just consider the starting 11 from last season might only have 2 or 3 starters on Sunday
Our style of play has completely changed and I fully expect our away support to be passionate and very loud.
Hope and dream COYS

I truly believe we can win at their place and there's even a good chance for it. That aside, if we only get a draw or a narrow loss I won't be crying about it. We're on a journey and the road ahead is looking bright regardless of a potentially negative result on Sunday, IMO.

I'm quite encouraged by the fact that United were within 2 inches of getting a result there and United are absymal.

Yeah this. We’ve demonstrably had almost the easiest start to the season (Arsenal not far behind). Plus when we played Man U the expectations weren’t high - we’d drawn the first game and were very obviously a work in progress. Now the excitement is through the roof…but we’re still a work in progress.

And it feels like we’ve been here many times before. How often in recent years have we gone to the Emirates on a high and been brought back down to earth, often losing players to injury beforehand or having a disastrous start to the game? We did just nearly lose at home to Sheffield United.

On the other hand…we’ll have four awkward away games out of the way after this week. The Arse, Brentford away then two relegation candidates. Arsenal will have played four games at home. And every month I look at our schedule in comparison to the teams around us and think - thank fuck we’re not in Europe. This year anyway.

Hearing lots of Arsenal fans saying we haven't played anyone yet this season, and we do look like we will concede goals. Well, neither have they and they have looked shaky at the back too. Genuinely have no idea how this one plays out tbh, but only an idiot would be putting their mortgage on any result in this one. If you are a betting man you are probably putting your money on both teams to score and a flurry of yellow cards and leaving it at that imo. I make them favourites but not by much because they are at home, although we have had a week to prepare.

If we are basing it on form so far this season it's a coin toss imo, both beat United at home and also played some also rans and our form is identical. As long as we give it a go, I won't be too upset by any result as we are still at the beginning of our journey whilst they are 4 years on with Arteta at the helm.

Even during that 4/5 season period when we were clearly better than them we'd often struggle and lose at their gaff.
