What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

Saw a "strength of schedule" table that ranks teams based on the winning percentage of all the teams they've played and Sp**s were at the bottom. Their opponents had a combined 44% win rate.

This kind of misreading of data is so thick. Guess why they had a combined winrate of 44%, you genius?! It's possible that our 6-7 wins (depending on when the table was made) had an effect?

Fucks sake. They can look for things to cling onto all that they like, but "have they even played a good team yet" wears a little thin when the only "good team" that'll satisfy their demand we've not faced is City.

Also a reach to refer to Fulham as relegation candidates when they're closer to being above Newcastle than relegation.

Arsenal fans are tying themselves in knots saying how shit Fulham are but then remembering that they couldn't beat them, down a man, at home.
Also, suggesting we've played 9 games against relegation fodder that somehow includes them.

And teams that we’ve played have a 0% win rate in games against us.
Exactly! Every team we've beaten so far this season has lost to us, and is therefore worse than us. So clearly you can't read anything into those results because we were playing teams that were worse than us. Or something.

Once again the "kind fixtures" narrative pops up. We have played United, Arsenal and Liverpool picking up 7 out of 9 points. Played more away games than at home and have only drawn two games (both two goals conceded in each were a deflection OG and a penalty).

Keep underestimating us at your peril.

This is true but I suspect we raise our levels against "top teams" - our best performances have been against Arsenal and Liverpool.

It's the likes of Villa, Brighton and Newcastle where we will be truly tested on our proper levels imo. Looking forward to it

What’s the Bassey thing about?

Are they calling him a Count?

The thing for me is you can only beat who is in front of you. Arsenal drew with ten man Fulham at home. City lost to Wolves.

Very, very few matches are bankers anymore. You still have to turn up and play.

Strangest criticism of a striker I've ever seen.

It's true though, we've got some really one-dimensional players.

Case in point being Vicario who is only good at stopping the ball going in our goal but I don't think I've ever seen him take on a man and whip in a decent cross.
