What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

Actually most of what I have read is quite balanced. A few melts aside, most Bayern fans comments I've read seem aggrieved with their own club for waiting so long and understand that the player would rather honour his first choice. Plus yes, they say he is likely to get more game time at Spurs, another legitimate reason to join us over them.

Seems there is a bigger issue judging by fans forums (always dodgy), in that there seems to be no plan. I have to say Bayern have been less than stellar recently in their player axquisition. Not in who they have signed, Kane for example, but more that in the past they were a lot more proactive and had a clearer plan for whpm to get and when. Now it seems to be skittish and reactionary.

Whether that's more due to the board or Tuchel is unclear.

Red Cafe - Radu Dragusin linked to United

  • Lots of speculation over the last 24 hours, (beginning of December) for the price would seem like a viable target. Reminds me a bit of Vidic, hopefully gets rid of the man bun if he joins.
Wonder if this is a Sir Jim team target?
  • Hopefully he'll Dragusin the right direction
  • Let's be honest, no one has a clue about him. If he's fast and combative then sign me up because he will immediately start over Lindelof.
  • Looks no better than Lindelof.
  • I mean there should be a minimum standard of highlights reel before we make a new signing. Worst highlights reel eva!! Blocking innocuous crosses with his arse? Check. Unchallenged headers up in the air? Check.
  • I can’t wait for the whole fanbase to get crazy hyped about signing him, only for him to join and not be very good. :cautious:
  • Looks more proactive and not inclined to back off to his own goal line like Lindelof.
  • His highlights don’t show much of him with the ball and his FBref report doesn’t scream out as him being a ball player. Given we have a fair bit of rebuilding to do in terms of CBs if he’s a cheap option to come in a back-up then I’m okay with that. He’s been linked with Newcastle, Arsenal, etc too so he must be doing something right.
  • I can't speak to the quality of the player, but Juventus sold him for like £3m about five minutes ago didn't they? It seems like a strange one, with a lot of tenuous links to various PL sides over the last week or so. Seems a bit early to be wrangling for a new contract.
  • Supposed to be the opposite of Lindelof. Very strong in duels but a bit brainless and not great at passing.
  • Our first Romanian/Moldovan player?
  • Filling our squad with a load of fellas with names from an own brand Street Fighter rip off game is the natural next step.
  • Good aggressive defender. Decent speed and heading. Could be a good partner for Martinez.
  • Looks pretty average in that short clip. If that’s his best…
  • Moving to Spurs for €30m according to his agent. (December 15th) - No more posts until yesterday
  • Spurs bound - BBC link
  • Hold your horses! Bayern allegedly in for him as well.
  • Yall already know he ain’t coming to United.
  • We probably haven't got £30m to sign him. Out of all the players I've seen linked at CB with us this summer I'd say he looks the best to play RCB for us. Shame we can't compete with Spurs or Bayern.
  • Is this guy reliable?? Tweet from Romano saying Dragusin to decide in the morning
  • Yes very
  • So it makes you wonder how this thread is even created from a fecking random piece of shite from a Romanian source. I thought these threads had to originate from a credible source.....obviously not. Think they need @Archibald&Crooks over there too.
  • Another credible source and not a mention of Manchester United; 9pm last night from the BBC, think they've realised they're not in the running
  • Let's hope this means we'll get Todibo next summer, who's better on the ball anyway.
  • Imagine choosing Spurs over Bayern. Can only imagine its because he thought/knew he wouldn't get a game at Bayern.
  • I've never seen him play, but it'd be a big ask for any CB to get a start over Kim, Upemacano & De Ligt tbf.
  • I've seen him play many times for Romania and Genoa. I believe he is similar to Van Djik, strong, fast and technical. He is still young though and anything can happen. He may reach greatness or end up like Chiriches, no one really knows. He was raised at Juve, never played in Romania so that may help with his mentality and professionalism.
  • Great get for Tottenham.

How can you follow football in this day and age, and not know who Romano is? Its one thing to like him, or not like him, but it hard not to know who he is, and what he is all about.

Obviously the poster is on twitter, as he has shown the tweet - so that just seems weird to me.

The fuck are people going on about the league being worse for? I've made this point before but FFS, just because one team isn't running away with it doesn't mean the league isn't as strong. Good that someone pulled the idiot up on it.
The worse the league has been is the season they finished second

Well not last season. You can argue 2015/16 though.

Last season all three relegated clubs had much better players in their squads than the three promoted clubs. The league as a whole was pretty strong from the bottom up.
