I'm not talking about Dembele. You said Eriksen being injured was a
major reason why we had poor results in our first 4 games but he played 90 minutes in 2 of them? Not even sure why you mention 6 points when we didn't lose to Leicester nor Everton. Even if Eriksen had a blinder in both games (which is very unlikely as he's only turned up probably twice all season), that's an extra 4 points.

You can ask me as many times as you like, my point is that your point is inaccurate and optimistic at best.
The first post I replied to attributed (admittedly it wasn't yours) our first major injury to Dembele. I responded that it was actually Eriksen's injury that was the first to affect our season. Then you dropped this:

But he played 90 mins in both the defeat to Utd and draw against Stoke?

To which I responded that Eriksen was injured at week 2 and Dembele was still playing. How you fail to see that chronologically, and as a matter of consequence, the import of this is beyond me. Now you counter with my math issue of 4 vs 6 points. Finding fault with something so inconsequential to the larger point is interesting. Indeed I was careless in that but it does not alter my point that the Eriksen injury was the first to really affect our season, neither optimistic nor inaccurate.

I thought he was Korean:whistle:

that's the only downside on this forum, too many English teachers. I understand not liking text talk, but as long as you know who the player is they are talking about, why does it matter.

You missed a question mark.

Interesting - I think most of us were actually disappointed with the Watford performance. Obviously not the result though.

Similar to the palace game really. Absolute travesty going 1-0 down in both games, then had a little wobble before our extra quality told.

I do consider Watford to be one of the very few games where we got more than we deserved, but that was because of how disappointing we were against ten men for the most part. 11 vs 11 was all us.

Typically the team we arguably dominated the most IMHO we dropped 4 points against, I felt we massively outplayed Everton both games and the first half at goodison was our best all season. We humbled them, although their fans have clearly forgotten that based on the posts a page or so earlier...

Everton at home is the only league game I've missed this season but I think we really really let Arsenal off the hook at their ground. It was like men against boys for most of that match.

That was another big one. I'd say the following:-

Goons - 2 points
Utd - 1 point (at least)
Newcastle - 1 point (poor second half, didn't deserve win)
Everton - 4 points
Leicester - 1-5 points (robbed us at home and probably should have held on to late winner)
Stoke - tempted to chalk that one off as one of those things. Poor second half.
Watford - minus 2 points
Swansea - 2 points freak own goal
Liverpool/Chelsea/WBA - should have won at least one - 2 points.
Palace (H) - little bit fortunate but probably edged it

Obviously you don't always get what you deserve in football, but even a conservative 6 points from the above puts us clear top. It's simultaneously promising and depressing!

Goons is a very tricky 1, for the 1st 70 mins we should of provided them their worst defeat at home, but thanks to poor finishing in a game they actually had the same amount of efforts as us, and only 1 of 2 teams that have had more possession over the 90mins, it nearly turned into a defeat

on the Newcastle game I honestly believe we got what we deserved, it was a bit like the Anderlect game. looked like only 1 winner after 20 mins, but deserved to lose.

Watford why minus 2points? you can only get 3pts for a win

WBA was the only team that has had more shots on target against us, then we had against them

overall had we been just a bit more clinical, we should of had at least 12pts more than we have now.

the only scary thing is though, if we did i'd be more nervous about where we finish at the end, than I'm now
