from saintsweb
Spuds forum and even Levy are refering to MP style as free flowing attacking football that Spuds are known for .....ermmm Poch plays possession pressure football !!
Hence why we dont score many goals and dont concede many , having the ball is everything .
There is going to be some very disappointed Spuds fans , and there chairman it seems
yeah enjoy watching Michael Dawson & co passing the ball back & forth in ur own half, spurs fans! Mugs.
They'll enjoy it even more when we replace Dawson with Lovren...Do they not watch us? Dawson to pass the ball back and forth?! Hes having a laugh!!

A swap with dawson who will keep the ball and play nice simple balls at the back for them?!They'll enjoy it even me when we replace Dawson with Lovren...
From what I remember, it was Hibs fans that started singing that song and Spurs where the first English team. They seem to have a thing about us nicking their 'Oh when the Saints' song....like they fucking wrote it....pricks.

I got the wrong song on my above post, I was thinking of glory glory Tottenham HotspursThe song originated as a 19th century Protestant hymn and remains a message of revelation and redemption.
"In 1965, January 22nd, the bass player in Preservation Hall, New Orleans, Papa John Joseph, played 'The Saints.' I guess it was a request, and he turned to his bandmates and said, 'That about took everything out of me,' and died on the spot," Jazz scholar Bruce Raeburn, a season ticket holder in the Park Lane, explained.
Fuck'em- at this rate they will be bottom of the league by ChristmasI'm getting fed up of reading that Pochettino will be sacked by Christmas by Saints fans in the comments of every article on the internet. Even Le Tissier is saying it now

I see a lot of people say this type of thing about professional footballers. Realistically what this means is le Tiss supported Spurs until the age of around 17 or 18. For nearly thirty years of his life he is unlikely to have felt any connection or loyalty to Spurs.Except le tisser is a spurs fan.

Childhood loyalties are unlikely to mean much when you spend your career playing against that club in the same league. Maybe le Tissier may still have a soft spot for us but there's no way we'd compete with Southampton for his affection. Really think people exaggerate these with footballers. Defoe grew up an Arsenal fan, and many would tell you Bale did the same. Do we think they prefer Arsenal to us now?

That was awfully generous of them to sing about us...From what I remember, it was Hibs fans that started singing that song and Spurs where the first English team.
Edit: @Gb160 It was glorry glorry Tottenham Spurs that was first sung by Hib's.
My mistake, sorry

I can't speak for all, but my problem with Sherwood was certainly never his supposed Arsenal connections. More the fact he carried out his job in a similar fashion to a 5-year-old child who has not yet learned people skills.Unfortunate noone gave Sherwood a bye, having played for us and helped develop one the best youth set ups in England
Totally agree with this. It always amazes me when fans think it matters to football players who they supported as a kid.I see a lot of people say this type of thing about professional footballers. Wow, to be fair to Southampton they've not had all that many managers have they.I'm getting fed up of reading that Pochettino will be sacked by Christmas by Saints fans in the comments of every article on the internet. Even Le Tissier is saying it now
