Exactly - if you talk to him about the game in general, he know tactics, players, managers, history, European and world football really well. He knows the stats and current form of loads of players and teams.

He supports a League 1 side so has no bias against Spurs - I think it's a case of him not having a singular interest in the Premier League and so probably getting some of his opinion on it from the media/pundits etc.
Sounds like your friend might think Sherwood's a good manager:eek:

Because, you know, win percentage and all that jazz

My Dad's mate is a mate of Paul Supersub Fairclough & saw him this week. When they spoke about the PL he's convinced that Liverpool will get top 4 & when my Dad's mate said "Hey what about Spu

There is literally supporters on THAT Liverpool forum claiming they could genuinely win the league and that Klopp has turned it around already because of the result today .

Have they not been watching Chelsea this season? Of course they haven't because to a Liverpool supporter the only club that exists in world football is Liverpool.

Chelsea have been dire if Liverpool had not have beaten them it would have been a disaster given how the chavs are playing.

Deluded fools.

Can't be that good of mates with him or he has been calling him by the wrong because the super sub for Liverpool was David Fairclough.

Villa fans aren't optimistic:

"We're going to get slaughtered!"

"Can we make it eight consecutive losses? We have the power!"

"No doubt we'll be giving away plenty of stupid free kicks around the 18yard box where Eriksen doesnt mess about. Kane off the back of a hat trick with naive defenders to feed on. Richards might not be available. I dont trust K-Mac to pick a team that will at least give us a chance. Sky live game, we're in for a bad night.

4-0.

Just hope we can somehow nick a point here, stop the rot and then hopefully have Garde in by Manc City game to begin the most unlikely of recoveries"

"I've gone for 3-1 but I'm not sure where the 1 will come from. At this point I'm resigned to the fact we will have a more impressive looking bench than front 4."

"An encouraging defeat."

"A right royal hammering. 5-0 to Spurs. When will this **** end!?"

"Spurs on form, Kane back amongst the goals, we have a tendency to give free-kicks away and they have a free-kick specialist, everything points to a Spurs win."

"this has loss written all over it. it's beyond predictable, it's predestination."

They like what they hear about the new manager coming in though, Remi Garde, so that will probably give them a moral boost and keep them going this season as well. Just like Sherwood did last season. Let's see if this's a better long term solution.

The board see Garde as the manager Tim convinced Lerner he was, if that makes sense.
