I wonder if we're again guilty of not getting their irony.. After all they've got 3 league cups to their name in 132 years...

It's funny because the only reason i was so glad they got back into the Prem was because i bloody love seeing them get relegated, but then on the other side, i hate the monopoly of the top four, and i'm a sucker for an underdog.

Toughy...

If it was Palace or Watford i'd be cheering them on, and what they've achieved so far i also think is admirable, but there's something about the tears of Leicester fans that make me hard. So, while i'm loving watch an unexpected run at the top of the table, for me to get any joy from the situation now would require seeing them carry on this run, right up until the last, say, 3 games, then shit out huge and end up fifth or sixth on the final days results.

Two of them were from corners, not open play.

Once the ball is in play I regard it as open play tbh, it's little different to a cross.

I also wish we could score from set plays though (we were doing well at that earlier in the season).

Why do we bring out the best in goalies!?
That is so true it does my fkin head in.
Even during Harrys reign it seemed like we played utter shit teams on loads of occasions and had shit loads of shots on target, way more possession and corners, only to draw or lose on a shite hoof up the park counter attack, as their fkin goal keeper, who couldnt catch a fkin cold for 2 months previous, suddenly turned into fkin Spiderman.
Why God? WHY? WHY?

To the anal retentive butt fks. This is just a general observation and my opinion.
Please do not go digging through the archives for the last 5 years trying to prove me wrong because really......

I don't give a fuck :finger:

Did Schmeicel do anything out of the ordinary though? Made himself big vs Kane, lucky to not go in, rest were routine saves I thought, unless I'm forgetting something. Actually Hugo on Drinkwater was the best save in my opinion.

We just don't have many quality finishers, so when we struggle to create chances we often don't put the one or two we get away.

it also goes for teams who haven't won for 10 games or more so when a team hasn't scored in 3 or so games (like Leicester the other night, was their first goal in 4 league matches). we may aswell have a sign up, "welcome to WHL lads, fill ya boots"

it always fucking happens

Same with shit strikers, or random nobodies who haven't scored for 15 years.

As soon as I see a report saying "X is likely to start upfront but hasn't scored for 15 games", I instantly think, until today!!
Yeah. Like Huth. I swear i saw that giant star-wars villain looking motherfucker on the field the other day and i thought yeah, if we go down it's some bastard like that who'll score ... and presto

Balotelli coming off the bench to score the winner against us- his one and only Premier League goal for Liverpool -springs to mind.
They couldn't get him out the door quick enough but of course not before he did us in.

What are the chances we get Defoed tomorrow?

We've always been good at conceding screamers to no-mark cloggers. I particularly remember one incredible goal last year from Burnley (Ashley Barnes maybe?) and one from a few years back at home to West Brom when fucking SIMON COX curled one into the top corner from outside the box, but there have been plenty more.

Sunderland fans:
We're going to beat Spurs this weekend, something about the early kick off and the momentum of our two wins, can just see us causing an upset. Just can't see Spurs being able to deny the unstoppable force that is Jermain Defoe another hat-trick.
Will be up there with the most satisfying 3 points of all time. Teams around us will shit themselves and lose as a result. We're staying up lads!
I'd like to see Allardyce revert to 3 CH's if we have that many fit!
Hopefully Kirchoff and Coates are now fit enough and O'Shea and Brown have recovered.
Would take a point now! They'll be very wary of Defoe though.
Realistically we'll be back down to earth with a bang,2-0 to Spurs,i'd snap your hand off for a draw now like.
If we can pick up a point I'd be very happy if we took all three I may do something similar to that guy in the above clip.
Very happy agaisnt a cracking Spurs side
I'd be fucking orgasmic if we get 3 points
One would be brilliant
They are nothing special as the mags showed, but they are a good side.
The key is to hit erikson as soon as he gets the ball. Carroll, Dier and Alli are very decent, but erikson pulls the strings and can pick a killer pass.
Spurs absolutely battered Leicester, if they play anything like that against us, we will fold like origami.
Lets hope they have an off day, I would take a point right now.
If a team like Leicester can beat them, then we should win easily

It won't be defoe
They will have an injury crisis and have to play some obscure player who is so bad he is now their cleaner and who hasn't scored a goal since 1928
It's just how we roll apparently
