unfortunately I cannot see Newcastle finishing 4th, you cant go to Fulham and Tottenham and concede 10 goals between them and expect champions league football, its between Chelsea and Arsenal for me, I cant see them catching us now.

Season we finished 4th, we lost to Wolves home and away, and a lot of people (Spurs fans and otherwise) were righting us off for 4th place. A stupid amount of people had us down to finish as low as 7th.

Last season, we conceded 7 goals against Bolton and Blackpool, and we weren't far off from 4th at the end of the season then either.

Once they get Tiote and Cabaye back, they'll be a hell of a lot stronger. Much like City and United against us in August, we played Newcastle at the right time.

Liverpool have a much easier run in than Arsenal and Chelsea having already played us, Man U, and Man City, and having both Arsenal and Chelsea at home which they will probably win imo. They are close enough to stumble over the finish line imo

It would be a very good season for Liverpool if they finished 4th and won a cup too.

Has anyone had a look to see what the Everton fans are saying about Saha. At the time most were very happy to be getting rid of him.

I don't know why but I can see Chelsea winning the CL and finishing outside the top 4 which means whoever finishes 4th will be in the Wafer, obviously that will not be us now but some team will be mighty pissed if that happens

Liverpool are a Stoke with more expensive players. Their lack of imagination, creativity and pace will prevent them scoring enough goals to win enough matches to make top 4.

They are reliant on set pieces, like Stoke to score goals, just like yesterday.

This was a pre match analysis of a Newcastle fan over there in toonfantastic forums. Couldn't be more wrong about everything

Reckon we might see something like this:

-----------------Friedel-----------------
-Walker---King---Kaboul---Ekotto-
--------------Cisse-Ba-----------------
-Lennon---Modric---Parker---Bale-
Jonas---Guthrie---Perch--Obertan
--------------van der Vaart------------
---------------Adebayor----------------
Santon---Colo----Will------Simpson
------------------Krul--------------------

On the face of it:

1. Lennon, Bale and VdV will throw themselves on the floor for 90 minutes, especially against Simpson, Jonas and Williamson who can be naive enough to sometimes allow cheating fucks to kick them and then fall over. It might be best to play a high line (ooh err!!) in order to keep the diving bastards away from the penalty area, especially with that retarded, blind, biased ****, Andre Marriner refereeing.

2. Spurs weak point looks to be their defence, especially with the attack minded Modric and the ineffectual Parker in midfield. Cisse and Ba should have King and Kaboul for breakfast. Our best hope I feel, assuming Spurs will get at least two penalties is too outscore them without trying to shut up shop. For this, Guthrie should become the link between defence and attack and we should play quick, counter attackng football, especially since we have a lot of pace out wide and up front and Bale and Lennon will play very advanced.

Still going for a Toon win, I think Adebayor will be in Colo's pocket and provided Marriner limits the shocking, bent decisions to only 2 or 3, we should get a few by punching through their defence with the Dembas.

Got this from NUFC-forum.com

"Spurs should have been driven to the police station for torturing and abusing our team"

"Was getting texts off a few Liverpool fans during this game, "What's going on" etc etc, all I could reply was Spurs are Class. Just beqaten by a better team today. "

"Well now i know what it felt like to be up against entertainers . That was some great pass and move from Spurs "

Quite the mistic meg isn't he?

Got pretty much everything he said 100% wrong

at least two penalties? Eek

Ade was in who's pocket? 4 assists and a goal.....big holes in that pocket

Ba and Cisse had who for breakfast? two shots of note? no goals

Modric and Parker (the ineffectual one) would leave our defence so exposed Newcastle would rip through us

That was the most dominate game of football I can remember for the longest time, 5-0 flattered them. At one point the stat said we had had close to 80% possession

They just couldn't live with the speed, enegry and movement of our attacking players.

Saha and Ade really made a fantastic partnership
