Yeah quite possibly, but I just feel that there are many more slip ups to have.

If I do a worst case scenario, I have the league finishing like this:

Utd - God knows how many.
City - 78 points
Chelsea - 74 points
Arsenal - 72 points
Spurs - 67 points.

With these results:

CITY:

Utd - 0 points
Wigan - 3 points
Spurs - 1 points
West Ham - 3 points
Swansea - 3 points
Reading - 3 points
Norwich - 3 points

Total points: 16

Chelsea:

Sunderland - 3 points
Fulham - 3 points
Liverpool - 1 points
Swansea - 3 points
Utd - 0 points
Spurs - 3 points
Villa - 3 points
Everton - 3 points

Total points: 19

Arsenal:

West Ham - 3 points
Norwich - 3 points
Everton - 3 points
Fulham - 3 points
Utd - 0 points
QPR - 3 points
Wigan - 3 points
Newcastle - 1 point1

Total points: 19

Spurs:

Everton - 1 points
City - 1 points
Wigan - 1 points
Southampton - 3 points
Chelsea - 0 points
Stoke - 3 points
Sunderland - 1 point

Total points: 10

Taking all of the above, that we completely fold and both Chelsea/Arsenal go on some ridiculous run of form, we would need all 3 points. But we could lose to Cityu at home, and to stoke away. Arsenal have probably the easiest run in, other than Everton & Utd, the rest are pretty much nailed on. With potential slips up at Fulham, QPR and Wigan, maybe a last day match against Newcastle, as every home team likes to put in a bit of effort to say thanks to the fans.

City's run in is again quite easy, apart from Utd, and maybe us, they should win everything.

Chelsea's, more difficult though. Probably the toughest run in out of the lot in reality.

Sunderland - I wouldn't like to predict with what is going on up there at the moment, although they should win on paper.
Fulham - local derby anything could happen.
Liverpool - no easy game ever.,
Spurs - I'd take a draw now to be honest, but I've us down to lose.
Utd - well, it's Utd.
Villa - will be fighitng.
Everton - well they are decent too.

Our own one..
Really depends, Everton, City & Chelsea are our obvious hard games.
Wigan and Stoke away potential banana skins.
Southampton & Sunderland at home should be a win, even though I put down draw.

It's not that bad I guess :-0

You say Chelsea have the toughest run in and yet you only have them dropping 5 points?

Well there would be no point, it's a basic one of us losing our difficult games, with rivals winning theirs - worst case, lets not be pedantic about it, it was just a mock up.

I do believe Chelsea's is the hardest run in, but I;ve put em down as coming into massive form.

Everton, Arsenal, and Chelsea fans can throw their Rabbit's feet, four leaf clovers and box of lucky charms in the bin now. They've all just had the ultimate in good fortune with Bale being out for likely the season or for the majority at least

Some horrible things all over Twatter and Facebook tonight delighting in Bale's injury, obviously all from Gooners. ****s.

As for what Basel are saying, what's German for "Them's was shit, they's were"?

As for what Basel are saying, what's German for "Them's was shit, they's were"?

It is fucking hysterical (but no less a great example of their intellect) that after concocting #MindTheCollapse (which really worked their braincells), constantly reminding us that we threw away last season whenever we were ahead of them (because fuck accepting we're good now) and exaggerating every flaw of their season, they immediately pounced on tonight and claimed "St. Totteringham's Day is soon to come again!"

Very, very very few things would make me happier than finishing above Arsenal. Not because they're bellends, but because we're better than them and we need to show it.

Guess today could really be St Totterings Day!

Not looking great really is it.

Bale, Defoe, Lennon, Kaboul, Sandro & Lloris.

That is over half of our first team starters right there, injured.

That's not worst case scenario because if United beat City they will have won the league by the time they play Arsenal or Chelsea. And tbh I could definitely see Arsenal beating or at least drawing with them if that's the case.

Everton fans must be rubbing their hands together (never mind those of Chelsea and Arsenal)

I'm a little worried about Sunday. Everton are missing Fellaini and Pienaar which is positive for us but we'll have no Bale or Lennon and Adebayor will be playing once again

Last night i was on a head shaking marathon, muttering to myself and generally in a very bad mood.
This morning i have got up and as important as Gareth Bale is, we are still a football team and have other players, we have beaten teams without Gareth Bale before and we will do it again. Blind optimism? maybe but really waving the white flag now is pathetic. Im a Spurs fan and ill fekking well not give up till the last second of the last game is played.

Coys ffs and get behind the lads.

City go back to the Capital to take on Spurs.

With or without Bale, but Spurs are definately not a one man team and at this time of the year the table does not lie, with Spurs once again in the top 6ish and were cruelly robbed of a champions league place by Chelsea winning the CL.

I do not expect us to demolish Spurs like last season when Dzeko was in the mood for scoring, left right a header, anyway, a win at the Lane could very well secure second , barring a taggart team like crash, but as they say, we are now getting experienced at being at such heights in the league and it is becoming the norm rather than the exception.

Bob having rested three out of his back four for the Wigan game, brought in Garcia, the toll on the legs still told for those who played on Sunday and match fitness for those who have not played for 90 minutes.

So get you pens and pencils out and then exercise your digits on the key board, who do you think will get the nod for Sundays game?

Should Bob go for a win and play two strikers, with Sergio coming off at HT yesterday, will Edin get a game.

Will Gareth Bale play, scrap that, who cares if he does or doesn't.

lets hear from you and your thoughts on this game, who would you pick?

Sometimes, when we are under the cosh, we can hit well on the break. That might be what happens at WHL.

They will come at us no doubt and in fairness need the 3 points more than us. Every point is precious at this stage of course but they will think that 1 point won't do it for them and will be like a defeat.

Silva is probably going to be ready as Plattypus said he was nearly ready but might have been a risk for the Wigan game.

Sergio felt a slight twinge in his hamstring and came off as a precaution at half-time against Wigan apparently so he might well be fit.

I doubt Micah will play in this one. He was breathing through his a*rse the other night and is a long way from match fitness. Away to 'spuds' is not going to be a game where he will feature.

Zaba, Clichy and Nasty nicely rested. Milner only played a bit part so he will be relatively fresh. Barry is a must - rested or not. He doesn't hare around anyway so will be relatively fresh. Maybe Yaya is the one who could have been rested against Wigan. He might be getting a little drained now.

Hart, Zaba, Vinnie, Nasty, Clichy, Milner, Yaya, Barry, Silva, Kun and Carlito.

I know it's the standard line-up for big games but if it ain't broken don't fix it.

I'd be tempted to start Dzeko, I'd say Dawson has nightmares when he sees him.

Spuds are one of the teams that City's motivation needs no boosting, We seem to be able to up our game and with the added incentive of lowering the gap even more.

Seen Spurs recent tv games and can't say I was impressed. Bale and Dembele are decent players but surely were capable coming away with 3 points from this one.

'Spuds' are mercurial and will be up for this one. They probably see this as their biggest game of the season. 3 points will move them up and reinforce their top 4 aspirations.

They will also bury a few ghosts from the past against us, the 1-5 last season and the 3-2 at our place last season and Mario's penalty and the stamp. They will be up and running for this one against the 'new money' petro-dollar-funded Northern monkey 'chavs'.

Yes-sir-eeeee.

Let's face it. If we play like we did v Wigan, we will get our bottoms spanked irrespective of whether Bale is playing or not. We need the v Chelsea and United spirit if we are to come away with the 3pts.

And we need those 3pts, because whilst the league is realistically over, if we lose and United win on Monday night the title is theirs.

Between the two sides, City have won the last four games played. Mind you the 5th on ended in a 0-0 draw, and the previous four were all Spurs wins.

So who is to play? How do we play? Will we play?

The floor is yours.

Got to be better than the Wigan match, surprised we didn't rest Barry, don't think he will cope physically with this one.
Workmanlike team rather than flair given Sila/Aguero missing.
Happy with a point, unless Bale/Lennon & Defoe are all out, then it has to be three points.

Bale, Lennon, and Defoe have all been passed fit

That makes things tough then, expect another nervy performance

Never easy going to WHL..
I just hope the lads have rested there legs a bit...
4th game in under 2weeks,
3 of which have been..
Rags. Chelsea and now spurs all away from home....!!
I fancy us for this one....

Just keep pressure on those rags,
They've got history of shiting it........
3 pts then seat and enjoy..... They do more twitching then "arry".........

We have nothing to lose now, lets just go for it!

You can't drop Dzeko after scoring 4 at The Lane last season, Silva should hopefully be fit again and Agüero has to be watched carefully from now until the cup final so I wouldn't risk him after tweaking his hamstring yesterday, having him on the bench would be better in my opinion.

I just hope we don't play like we have nothing to play for because Tottenham, if they play a full team, will come at us for 90mins and it could be a nightmare to watch.

We still have a 2nd place position to consolidate.

Agree. If Aguero isn't fit rather no Dzeko.
If Silva not fit, then Aguero in.
If both not fit, not really sure who I'd want in.

Win and the League will be on for 24 hours, and you never know. Wigan and Everton took points off Utd at the same period last season. If Villa do that then it will be down to 11 points with a game in hand and Utd playing Chelsea and Arsenal and off form.

I think SPurs will beat us if I'm honest, but then I always manage to convince myself the next fixture is going to be really tough so I don't trust myself on this. Just win the game and force Utd to do what they have to to win it. Don't make it easy for them.

Quite frankly there's more chance of me enjoying a threesome with Beyonce and Susanna Reid than Spurs catching us ....

they are ten points adrift of us right now , they can make that seven points if they beat us on Sunday .... but they have a vastly inferior goal difference to us , and that , in effect , will put them the equivalent of three wins behind us , even IF they do win on Sunday !

Add to the mix that , after Sundays games , there are only five games left to play , we are bound to increase out points tally .... and you can clearly see that Spurs catching us just ain't gonna happen!

Manchester City will not win the premiership this year and thats fact.We might beat Spurs on sunday though. My only fear for this game is we dont play like we did, against Wigan or we will get beat.

Hoenstly. I think that the Wigan game was a bit of a diversion.

Not (really) much to play for Prem wise from us... loads for them to play for:-
a) "we are not City's mugs for the FA Cup final"

b) "We are shitting a brick over being dragged down ito a relegation battle".

I thinks we'll go OK vs Spuds..

At the end of the day the FA CUp has got to be a priority now

Very tough game this one. I hope we don't play like we did against Wigan otherwise we are toast. That being said, Spurs have a lot of injury worries, and if Bale doesn't play I can't see them being that tough. 0:2 for us (I hope!) Come on City!

Before the Wigan game I said to myself that we'd looked that good of late we wouldn't lose another game this season. That was then after that dreadful game I just can't see us getting 3 points down at Spurs but I hope I'm wrong.

Hart

Zaba Kompany Nastasic Clichy

Barry Milner

Yaya

Tevez Dzeko Nasri

Plenty of attacking options even with Aguero and Silva injured (no need to rush em back) Spurs are a bigger team and more of a threat than Wigan and City will know this so can't see us being as bad as we were Wed.

Beat Spurs, and the gap will be 10 points. We don't play them this time, but they play Chelsea and Arsenal and anyone can take points off them at present. LDWWLLWD.

It's unlikely as it was last season, but the miracle happened. Don't give up what we worked so hard for last season. Make them fight for it and if their form of the last 8 games keeps up, we will go very very close if we win our games. That's not an unreasonable assumption. Win our games and Utd are averaging a draw a game at the minute

I'm with you on this mate. I don't think there was any belief against Wigan that we could actually catch em. However now there really is a chance. With Zaba and Clichy back in on Sunday, we should go all out and terrorise the spuds. The rags will lose to Villa. It's on the cards. BELIEVE!!!
