Unbelievable. At first I found it funny, what with it upsetting the spammers n'all, but then I started to imagine how I'd feel if the shoe was on the other foot...

For a start I certainly wouldn't go to another game as long as whoever was responsible for the ad was involved with my club. In fact I'd probably consider giving up football altogether too.

It's an absolutely disgusting piece of marketing and everyone involved in it should be ashamed of themselves. As much as I dislike West Ham, they're a club with a history and plenty to be proud of, and certainly shouldn't be considered as a sideshow to the main event of Sheikh Mansour City FC and their travelling mercenaries.

It was probably aimed at neutrals and people that have not been to a game before.
Still a bad judgement call. The firm in charge of the advert was obviously not knowledgable about football or tribalism.

West ham keep doing this. Last season and the season before they cut the prices of tickets they couldn't sell. To such an extent that it was cheaper to buy match day tickets than it was season tickets. This lead to a number of fans refusing to renew their ticket.

How they will manage at the os is anyones guess.

Scholar? In that period we won the UEFA cup, finished 3rd in the league three times and got to three FA cup finals, winning two. After he left we didn't finish higher than 7th in 16 years! We did win the league cup, and we got 3 FA cup semi's, though.

I've been saying this all summer. I'm glad a rival fan sees it because I've had almost no luck in convincing other yids
The point is during that time Scholar took the club to the brink of Bankruptcy and Sugar saved our ass!

Been watching the City for 34 years and for me they were up there with the best I've seen. The only team I remember at that level was a Brazilian team called Botofogo we played in a friendly in about 1990. We couldn't get the ball off them, though in mitigating circumstances we were Division 4 back then. Spurs will be top two imo.

I just said in a different thread but I don't recall a better team down here in the 25/30 years I've been supporting the club. They certainly aren't the best side I've seen but in a game against us, they were better than anything I've seen us play.

Spurs were a class act and thankfully we have a very good shot-stopper in Marshall, who dealt with the majority - but I thought both the two units, in defence and midfield were outstanding in closing the space again and making it as difficult as they could.

I agree the best team won in the end, couldn't fault the effort and Kimbo and Gary were excellent. Gunnar on the other hand looked well out of it, didnt play well at all imo

Spurs were far better than Man City and Everton. It's also true that with so many faces, they're still finding their way and will only get better.

They're an excellent side, I've no doubt about that after seeing them today.

Best side we've played so far by some way.

Totally agree, they are superb, bearing in mind that they have Defoe too who could've caused us all kinds of problems, I would not be suprised if they won the title this season.

I mean it.
