I don't think the Lamela incident was worthy of a red card. He was using his body and arms to shield the ball from the Swansea player, and there was no intentional swing of the arm towards him. But totally agree, Swansea would have won if their finishing was up to scratch.

I don't think it was red worthy, but I can see why it could have been given, I think we'd have been pretty aggrieved if that happened against us, the ref didn't even give a foul.

I think it was worthy of a red. Lamela saw him coming and put his elbow up to get him. He may not have put all of his strength into it but I saw a deliberate elbow to the head. I'd have been pretty pissed off if the roles were reversed and no red was issued.

Apart from that, I though the ref was pretty even-handed. He let us off with a couple and let Ashley Williams kick the shit out of Soldado and Kane all day without even giving a foul. And what about the airborne, thigh-high, studs-up 'clearance' on the edge of their box that just preceded the Vertonghen tackle? Useless commentary team never even mentioned it so I guess it didn't really happen.

I'm glad I Google translated that. It all makes sense now.

God mer * to always lucky us, I broke my dick
----
Eriksen and Kane the only two who pull the cabin at the time at Tottenham, far from impenetrable defense
----
Of them need to be afraid only of the intensity 'of the game and running 96 minutes, in this house, in Florence we can give him 3 baby food.
----
depend 'also from the market, africa cup of baba, return bern and red.
(And, as things stand today, combining el hamdaoui!)
too many unknowns!
----
Well for me there we can play, but should take the lead there is to run MUCH.
Tocchettini pieces and can also be good when we've got it, but not being held or play with intensity or lose well with Hull City ...

It's all very clear now. Fiorentina supporters are not very well-educated.

Absolutely. If it was Chris Foy refereeing, definite red. Foy probably would have sent Vertonghen off too.

Very complimentary and considered. Respect due. Their lack of silverware over the past half a century is crazy. I think we are going to get a good performance and a victory in this one. Hopefully those fans in attendance will be right up for it like the Everton game.

Really good bunch of fans in Newcastle, they should really be where we are due to the size of their stadium. Hopefully they field a weakened team and we beat them! I can see them playing on the counter attack and doing what they did last time.

I just don't see it, Pardew's only just got their fans back onside, and they've kicked off before about 'throwing' these cup matches by fielding a weakened team.

Loads of injuries and they've got their local rivals on Sunday. I think there's every chance he'll protect a few of those who he is counting on for the weekend, but given the injuries he's probably short of options and restricted to only 3 or 4 changes.

Redcafe on Harry Kane...

"Another big English lump who's already had his 15 minutes."

"He looks a bit of a twat though doesn't he. Got a very punchable face.
Proper Eton conservative posh twat face.

Coupled with the standard young British male Phil n Lil haircut...

Happy-PhilLil.jpg
"

"Liverpool will sign him for £35 million in January and he'll proceed to flop."

Interesting stuff from the Newcastle fans.

Any idea what Fiorentina fans are saying about drawing us?

it's like a comedy show, they are saying EXACTLY what we are saying. Ranging from;
"Nice draw, one of the better draws for us, we'll nick this!" via "They are not as weak as you'd think" to "This is really a hard one, we must run a lot and work hard". And of course, they call out for a new striker in January...

"Squandered far too many chances"

"Aye, Spurs should have had three."

"Colback you tart."

"It's a mystery what Gouffran should do to be out of the starting XI."

"Anita is s**** too, no point in bringing him on."

"Well this is f****** depressing"

"How the **** have we not scored"

"ARGHHHHHHHHH"

"The one time we're in a quarter-final, we're like Lumley Ladies Under 2s playing a friendly"

"Best fans in the league. Out singing the home fans 4-0 down"

"Well that was ducking dreadful"

"It's more the manner of defeat for me. Tottenham are average and were there for the taking. Piss take of a performance."
