Watched the game, nothing between the two teams really. Spurs have a good thing going, average age of the team is 24 if my calculations are right, expect Pochettino will pick up a decent player or two in the summer who further fits into his style. I see good times for that club - not overhauling us, but a young team, good football, give the big boys a game, knock in top four etc. Lots to be excited about if you're a Spurs fan.

His calculations, or the fact that this was mentioned by the commentators in the game last night?!

Re: @Bobbins ' post, I can't quote his RAWK stuff directly, but I think that guy is right about Ibe. He looks strong, quick, and seems to actually have a bit of power in his shots. He could be Sterling mk II dare I say it.

The ones saying Spurs fans have no class is a laugh, did anyone hear them booing Kane when he was near the corner flag in the first few minutes? It was before the penalty claim and everything, so they had literally no reason to boo him whatsoever

Yeah, I heard that and found it really odd too. Anyone know what it was about?

I don't think we're finishing above them. That team is so much different when Sturridge is back. We couldn't even get a draw with them with Sterling out.

Honestly Southampton look a much more complete side than us and even Man Utd. This top 4 battle is going to go down to the wire by the looks of it, but I don't think we're good enough to get there - too reliant on two players. Arsenal will make it like always (like Liverpool, they are 10x better with Sanchez) so that leaves one of Liverpool, Southampton, United, maybe us for the last spot.

I'd be happy with a cup win and deep run in the Europa League.

Southampton have really impressed me this season, although we did out play them and beat them at WHL earlier in the season, even when we weren't firing on all cylinders.

Man Utd on the other hand, have you seen them this season? The first half at White Hart Lane was probably their performance of the entire campaign. I've a few Man Utd supporting mates and they all think they've been absolute pony most of the season and LVG has been given a massively easy ride by the press.

A Spurs fan who was at Anfield last night tweeted that there were sections of their fans openly hissing at our fans.

Last night after watching Spurs a second time in 4 days, I see a lot of what I'd refer to as negative gamesmanship, and arrogance. They kick the opposition more than the ball, and even Kane last night showed his petulant intolerance for being a goal down. Refs should watch Spurs more closely. Quite a dirty side by even Stokes standards

Got talking to four Liverpool fans while walking the dog this morning and fuck me they were all very complimentary about our performance last night, two off them went as far as to say that's the best any team had played at anfield all season and there was me expecting to get a bit of stick

I don't think it's about anything other than him being our most dangerous player. If I was Kane I'd take it as a massive sign of respect.

Home fans always tend to boo the oppositions most dangerous player for no reason. Completely pointless as usually it just fires them up to play better, but it's been going on ever since I can remember.

I'm pretty sure we'll be 6th/7th behind them and probably Southampton (I think Europa will kill us) - but I don't care as long as we win the cup, and even if we didn't, I've now seen enough from Poch to have full confidence in him next season. This will have to be regarded as a successful season purely due to the sea change he's brought to the club.

Change "successful" for "productive" and I think you're right. I have similar concerns about the Europa League and tiredness in general towards the end of the season but I don't think it's guaranteed to affect us. Anywhere between 3rd and 7th is possible but I think 5th/6th is likely where we'll end up.

[QUOTE="BillyWhizz, post: 4480747, .. BUT... I can't wish Arsenal to win that one. I'd be happy with a 0-0 with both sides having a key player sent off and a few (non serious) injuries each.[/QUOTE]

Why non serious ?

I see.

I can't say I've ever booed an opposition player without a reason, and there are loads of reasons (e.g. he's an ex-player who left unceremoniously, he talked smack about us in the press, he cheated/dived, he put in a nasty tackle, he got one of our guys sent off etc.)

I find it strange but to each their own, I guess...

It is strange because it's presumably intended to put them off, but almost always has the opposite effect.
