Don't think Leicesters absolute luck has been mentioned.

Does anybody think ManCity would have keeled over so limply had the announcement not been made this week about Guardiola? Think it is no surprise YaYa looked out of sorts, when it's just been announced the manager who bombed him out at Barca is coming.

People can dismiss this, but it is huge IMO (not specifically Toure, more the effect on the entire group, manager, backroom staff etc).

200k odd per week at City ? Yeah he really fell on his ass didn't he ? Poor bastard.

Found a really interesting quote on the Woolwich site:

It's not a matter of who was injured when we started but about who are extremely prone to injury.

When you house Arteta, Wilshere, Rosicky and then say OMG injury crisis when they havent played more than 10 games for us (Arteta has become one of those for us too), then that's poor planning.

Every ****ing tool knew what would happen in CM and we begged for back up.

Spurs expect Kane to get injured so they bought Son and that other french kid Njie or something.
It's planning and being pragmatic, something Wenger was known to do before he considered himself bigger than the club.

They aren't better than us in terms of playing XI, but they're pro active as a club (with Poch) and play as a hungry unit, something Wenger will never manage with this squad.

We actually step out of the pitch 1-0 down everygame, such is our lazy unmotivated attitude.

Interesting because of all those who complain that only Levy would leave us short in an area. Or that Son, Njie, and Chadli aren't strikers and can't play as such even though they'll list the likes of Walcott and Firmino as strikers for other teams. Yet even other teams see them as strikers for us!

Really shows that fans in other teams generally complain about the same shit and point the finger around and say "see! That team wouldn't do that!" even though that team's set of fans are saying the exact same bollocks.

Oh, come on. How can anyone begrudge Leicester's success. They are for once what's right about football, not these sugar daddy clubs like Man city and Chelsea.
I don't begrudge them success, I begrudge them achieving the ultimate success at our expense! Coming 3rd to them 2nd, fair play congratulations to em. Second behind them 1St! Truly devastated!

Way to focus on the complete exception to the point. I've said that Leicester played well yesterday and it's clear that City were poor but what's complete rubbish is how you can not admire the dominating performances that City have put in at home in recent years. Also, what difference does it make whether their team cost less than Lamela? If that were the criteria in which I decided on what football to watch I'd be down the local park on a Sunday morning watching amateurs that haven't cost a penny.

The original post I quoted claimed that Leicester are what is right about football and quite simply, I disagree. If anything, Spurs are what is right about football; we generally fund our transfers through player sales despite being owned by a billionaire and we also play an attractive brand of football relative to Leicester. I get the whole excitement around the fairytale story of Leicester given the predictability of the Premier League over the past 20 years, but that's completely different to watching Leicester over a large number of games this season and thinking the way they're playing is what is right about football. Effective, yes, but as I mentioned previously, if every team played like that, football would be dull in comparison to what it is now.
We find ourselves through transfers because of the amount of money we put in before the net spend years. Chelsea now have a zero net spend years on year because they spend millions and millions before, so they can sell a few players and get a few players from it. Very different to Leicester. I would have no problem at all if Spurs played how Leicester played

Just thought I'd have a spot of my increasingly favourite Sunday viewing (A*#@nal fan TV).

Viewing the reaction vids from last weeks game and this pure gem:

"there's an old saying. When the tough get going....the tough get going!"

I'd think the absolute dingbat cringeyness of the channel was a parody if it wasn't for Frank Bruno's slower younger brother being the creator. Never fails to deliver.
Also the pseudo intelligence of that Mo guy who probably thinks he should be in the dugout.

Should I love it as much as this???

Its an amazing show isnt it! Really enjoying it!!

You literally could not do a greater disservice to Leicester than compare them to a Pulis side.

I'm not comparing them. The poster I quoted implies that criticism of Leicester's football is because we're bitter and jealous that they're top and we're not, which is simply not the case as I would criticise that style whether they're first or last yet we talk about it more because they're top. I asked if we would be bitter and jealous for criticising a Pulis side that were top of the PL or does that example cross the line into it being ok to criticise a playing style?

It simply is the case. Some of the comments on here make it blatantly obvious that they stem from jealousy, if you can't see that then there is nothing more to say.

Although I do not think Leicester play exactly like west brom or stoke of old there is with out doubt many comparisons
Yesterday Leicester hoof and chase was incessant
Vardy tries to stay the same side of the pitch as the ball in his half Leicester niggle and break up play one touch 60 yrd ball for him to leg it after
They are also capable of some nice football IE: that interchange the other night which was a joy to watch
But they also constantly spoil waste time especially Schmeichel feint injury and general hoofing 60 yrd punts in hope.
Again though there energy levels are borderline amazing.
So not the worst but far from aesthetically pleasing.
Either way I doubt the Leicester fans give a flying I certainly wouldn't if I was one.

Sorry Gb160 my bad

Absolutely agree with this!
As much as I like them playing well and doing it the 'right' way, I honestly don't think i could handle Leicester winning the league, especially since they were floundering in relegation zone last season.

Plus, i'm truly hating the fact that so many so-called leicester 'fans' have started to come out of the woodwork - probably still think they play at Filbert Street!!

...Bitter aren't I :(

On redcafe, discussing PFA player of the year:

Mousa Dembele should be, but he wont even get nominated. He's dominated every midfield he's faced this season. But he isn't an attacker to doesn't get the attention. He schools everyone, every week.

Glad to see he at least gets recognition from some people!

United fans have known all about Dembele since he was at Fulham, he's always put in top performances against them. Not surprised they're recognising him.
