Was quite gutted he ended up at arsenal when it looked like he might have come to us on Loan. Really rate Welbeck.

If Sturridge gets himself fit a front 4 of Kane, Vardy, Welbeck and Sturridge would be the envy of most at the Euros.
Sorry Wayne - not sure where you fit in...
Your right, and Welbeck till exactly what we need. Competition for Kane and can play in the left. Shame

After the team is announced:

Henderson, Dier, Alli

That is such a dislikeable team.

That was about what I was thinking too. Feel sorry for Welbz.

England are basically Spurs, makes me sick. Will probably be rooting against them.

I'm hoping the Germans will go for it studs up

Lewandowski not fit? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Someone actually posted this.

Mesut voted player of the year by German fans

Lallana 7, Alli 10. The **** is going on here  - Beating World Champions numb nuts

England don't have anyone in CM who can put their foot on the ball & control the game. If you can't control the midfield then good night - been England problem for years - (Wilshere aside) :ROFLMAO:

During the game:

Too many Spuds in the England team. Overrated bunch to be honest, except for Kane maybe.

England gonna get destroyed at Euros because Tottenham and Leicester are having a fluke seasons!!!:lol:

"Kroos isn't good enough for us"

Germany looks so good on the ball. They don't make some big mistakes, only play the safe game.Reminds me of Barca during Pep era. o_O

And what a find Ali could be.(y)

Another assist from Özil

Bit sad that this England team looks more confident than Arsenal does against a Championship side.

After Germany's 2nd goal:

That was like watching a team score their 6th goal against San Marino or something. **** me

Get in Harry. That was brilliant from Kane

He is quality Kane, him and Ali are the future of England hate it or not. And Welbeck.

Well in Kane, him and Ali the only guys I'm liking for England sadly.

Özil got Kaned.

#BringKaneHome - He's circled Harry just in case the morons can't work it out

Harry-Kane-invincibles.jpg

Have to say this is one of the most technically competent England sides I have seen for quite a while.

Everytime I watch Kane I cry

Vardyyyyy what a goal

And that is why Leicester and Spurs are above us in the PL ...

Özil playing for another choking side too. Very revealing.:D

Vardy and Kane are proper strikers, so clinical. Meanwhile, we are waiting on a donkey because he has air game or something.

I don't like Dier, he looks like a ****ing garden gnome too.

Alli's miss went down well

Alli  - What a stunning miss - That's a Giroud level miss

the winner's coming anyway. not in doubt (y)

Proper Spurs invasion this England team.

Saying that tho we've played really well against the world Champions. That's saying something :(

Winning goal

wow what a comeback

Spurs have some decent players

Germany looked like they didn't care in the slightest about this game. Big occasion for the Spurs lads.

Imagine the hype Dier would get if he played for us.

The Spurs players have been top draw to be fair

Delle Ali motm. What a step up he has made.

Wilshere moonwalks into the England midfield, Lallana should be nowhere ****ing near. Wow, just wow

I get people want England to be crap but some of us don't and can look past the fact there are Spurs players playing so ****ing deal with it.

Feel like I'm saying this every week, but Kane is fantastic. Second top season has put him as world class I think. People thought he was comparable to Giroud a few months back......

Just highlights another failure of this club / Wenger. Much like how he spent years trying to win the league without spending and being beaten at doing so by Leicester, our attempt at making a British core failed and has been beaten by Spurs.

So much to be dissapointed at this club. No way should Walcott go to the Euros.

Kane will be at United or Chelsea in the next year or so I'd say.
He's got United written all over him.:stop:

We can expect a new transfer record then. Spurs would easily want £90mil Is that all

Kane and Alli look like the real deal. Pochettino's actually doing wonders for England.

They then go on to discuss the team line up in the Euro's and to a man Wilshere is in every version!

Though I'd wrap it up with a bit of nostalgia from 2013 :D

Having a quick scan through the England threads on Redcafe, RAWK, Bluemoon and Arsenal-Mania. Have to say pretty much all our boys getting rave reviews. A lot through gritted teeth I'll admit. Poch also getting some plaudits for the way he has them playing. You know that has to hurt for them to admit. People seem quite excited by that young English team apart from the two centre halves, I don't think anyone here was excited by them either. If we could just get two good players in there this could be a good Euros for us. If Woy has the balls to leave Rooney out of the team and go with the youngsters.

unfortunately Poch has only ever worked with 1 English centre half, and he now plays in midfield

I'm pretty sure I remember being at an Ipswich game when I was a young teenager and hearing someone say "that's our monkey" about a black Ipswich player.

That's the kind of mentality your dealing with here...

I remember a game against chelsea in the mid 80s - John Chidozie was getting the full treatment the whole game. In the second half Paul Cannonville comes on as a sub and they cheer and chant his name.

Too unbelievably stupid to think about how their own black players must have felt hearing their fans refer to a fellow black professional as a monkey.

No morality, no ethics, no brains.

My cousin (Goon) was ranting before and during the game how he couldn't believe that Dier was in the squad, let alone team. I let him ramble as I knew a point would come that would make him chew on his words (he did the same with Kane last year).

Low and behold, Dier scores and his only response is that he scored because "his head is like a cabbage".

Sums them all up.

The only faint bit of praise he could muster for England last night was after Vardys goal, which was a great flick but I thought Kane's was better.

We've waited such a long time to be given a bunch of exciting and likeable players, yet he (they) can't look beyond that for the greater good.

German fans don't behave this way, it's so disappointing that people are like this.

As a side note, why do goons hate Kane with a passion? I've spoken to several now and they don't rate him and choose to mock the way he speaks and looks.

They should be chuffed that we finally have a striker that can go on and give this country something to smile about. Not only that but the lad is so down to earth and doesn't seem to possess a malicious attitude at all, like John Terry, Cole etc

If our players performing well for England makes the gooners even more miserable and possibly ruins their summer too, I just don't see how this can be a bad thing. When Walcott and Wilshere came on the scene they were making out like they'd provided England with the new Messi and Xavi but both of them have been huge let downs relatively speaking. Arsenal players have done nothing of note for England since 1996 and even then they were over shaddowed by Teddy and Gazza.

Personally I'd prefer to enjoy the Euros without the company of any Arsenal fans. Let them wallow in each others fluids as they bukake each other over Wilshere's passing ability and play hide Walcott's selfie stick.

That's a very good way of looking at it.

I hadn't really thought about it before but it's true that they haven't given England much for a long time.

I'd also add oxlade Chamberlain to the mix. Another overhyped arsenal contribution

Liverpool fans on the match:

We tend to get good results against Spurs, We could really help Leicester out with a win that's for sure.

People were wanting to write this game off - saying Liverpool had nothing to play for - They do avoiding the cull

Teatime viewing

Liverpool return to action after the international break by welcoming title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield - and we'll have all of the pre-match build-up, in-game coverage and reaction right here

This promises to be a very good game indeed and Spurs arrive at Anfield in the better form following their 3-0 win over Bournemouth

From a Liverpool point of view they will fancy their chances of a goal or two but it won’t be easy against this improved Spurs backline. The reverse leg was 0-0 back at the Lane in October but that was a very different approach by Liverpool then and I expect this to be a full blooded affair. Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge look the real danger men and let’s not forget that Liverpool have two double game weeks to come which makes their players even more valuable.

Big test for both clubs are they really that much better than us with 61 pts to our 44pts in the league, IMO alderweireld and lloris is the major difference . And a fit Kane all season

There defence is so good and when you have a reliable source of goals from Harry Kane its a win win situation, On our day we can beat anyone and I fancy us against them I really do.

Be good to win for morale to go into the Dortmund game also.
This may sound a little silly looking at the table, but I think we are a better team than them on any given day, but they have been incredibly consistent and that's the big difference for me.
Settled squad and settled manager. We have a chop change a couple of months into the season, and now we are seeing glimpses of what Klopp's LFC can do. Current run of games we have picked up form, just sloppy defending, bad decisions and going off the boil against Saints was a massive blip after being 2-0 up.

Going into next season, we will have the same, settled squad and manager even more than now. So I can see your point about we are a better team than them.

I actually think we're a tough match for Spurs tactically. Kane, Alli, Rose and Dier seem in great form and if rest of squad flying may make any tactical advantage redundant.

On us in general:

Players / clubs have a good 6 months and suddenly they're the next big thing.

Let's see how West Ham, Spurs, and Leicester get on next year.

I'll make a prediction now, none of them will finish in the top four.
Tottenham have pretty much been consistently better than us for the past half decade. If we are to believe that it is achievable for us, then only the most blinkered would believe that it isn't achievable for them.

if keep what they have got and bring in 4-5 top players in the summer they can go on for years at the top.
Spurs will drop away again soon, they'll lose Poch and Kane in the next 18-24 months.

They are currently a bang average side, full of average players performing above themselves, full of confidence with a style of football that's been given time to settle.

It's a really poor year, in terms of quality, seeing them finish 6/7th next year will be pleasant.
If they're that bad then what does it say about us? Or do we ignore finishing behind them all bar once in the last 6 years?
Truth hurts sometimes and the truth is we are just not that good. Still we are Liverpool and I am very proud of that, we have at least or I at least think we have decent owners, a manager who I would not swap for another, so with that in mind the future looks good and next season and the season after I expect us to make a petty significant move from our true position which is about 6th. maybe 4th in 2017 to 1st or 2nd in 2018, one can hope anyway.

I think most would agree we are just a bigger club than Tottenham , we are all expecting us to get it right sooner or later and overtake them again. They will do what they do every season and get 60-65 points next season, Tottenham are never a surprise if i'm honest.

Individually were ahead of them. Tactically we are not, but that's because it's a new manager situation again.
Individually? I'd certainly take Lloris, Alderweild, Kane, Ali and Erikksen, to name but a few. They're a well run club about to build a new stadium. Maybe the stadium will hamper their spending somewhat, but I don't see them going away like you do.

I see Spurs having the same problem today as they had yesterday.

You have a minimum of 5-6 players that I'd consider underpaid. Those players are going to sit down and have a hard think when other clubs come in for them offering 1.5-2x their current wages. Spurs will then have to sit down and either match that kind of money or sell. They'll likely pay 1-2 of the players and let the rest go for very nice transfer fees. The issue is, can they go out and get players just as good? Probably not. Even if they do, it may take several seasons to bed in and get comfortable.

On top of that, people keep writing off what's involved in building a new stadium. Spurs will go a minimum of 300m in debt building their new stadium and the figure will likely be 400m+. Assuming they want to pay off the Stadium in 20 years and they are locked in at 4% interest and owe 350m, they will be making monthly payments of 2,120,930 or roughly 25m a year.

So do Spurs concern me? Not really. I'm genuinely surprised they put together such a good season but I'm more surprised how poorly Arsenal, United, Chelsea, City, and we performed this season.

Tottenham are a far better side than we are at the moment. And have been for 2 years.

Glaringly apparent this term

Anyone who disagrees is blind.

The smell of dung in here is rancid.

Spurs have finished above us for a few years, YES because we've been pathetic. It doesn't make them good.

Spurs are where they are because we were abysmal under a very average manager in Rodgers. Man Utd, Chelsea, and City have all inexplicably struggled, and Arsenal just can't handle pressure.

This isn't going to stay permanent though. Which is why I'll stick by my original prediction that Spurs won't finish in the top four next season.

a fit sturridge was always outscoring kane, as much as he has improved, it makes a massive difference when your top striker is out, it also has an effect on the confidence of the rest when looking for a goal
A fit sturridge scenario falls into the auntie/balls/uncle category. Or I'd be a millionaire if I'd picked the right lottery numbers.

The odds of him playing an entire campaign are that long at this point.

One thing i've noticed ( and not just Liverpool fans, but City/United/Arsenal/Saints etc) is they keep saying we *could* have a good season next year as long as we don't sell any of Alli, Eriksen, Kane etc, or Poch decides to stay... and im baffled that opposition fans think we'd entertain bids for any of our best players or that Poch would want to leave... This is the first time in a long time (as long as we do end up with CL) i'm 100% confident we won't sell anyone, yet even making the CL, i'm reading opposition fans saying one of kane/lloris/alli/poch etc etc will push for a move to city/chelsea/united & leave :bored:
