Good question.

What we need, in my opinion, is a Drogba type striker, one who would combine the strengths of our existing quartet but all wrapped up into one player.

I have no idea who that person would be, but I assume our scouting network, or at the very least Spursking, could come up with someone.

Indeed, I think an addition of that standard and quality would see us truly compete for the League next season - provided we finish top 4 this season obviously.

Could we try that by the way...a chemical fusion at Spurs Lodge this week of all our 4 strikers into one super striker?

Worth a try I suppose.

I don't profess to have seen as much of the 4 as others have done but from what I have seen if what we are looking for is a striker to play ahead of VdV then only Fabiano has played that role. No doubt all the other 3 are good players but they all seem more suited to playing in a 2 upfront and isn't that the problem with all our current 4 strikers (among other issues) ?

Not worth the risk mate. Leicester City tried that with their strikers, but there was a mix-up in the lab and they ended up with Heskey.

For those voting Suarez, how much have you seen of him?

Not a lot, but I saw enough of Forlan and Rossi in the premier league to raise at least the slightest question mark as to whether they could perform in this league.

I'm not saying they can't or they won't perform in this league, just for the amount of money it would take to get them the doubts still remain.

I havent seen much of any of them, so not going to vote. On the little I have seen though I would say Fabiano is probably best suited to what we need, a striker who can play up top on his own.

Quite a bit actually. I used to have a close friend when I was a kid that had come to England from Uruguay, and ever since then I've always followed their international team. Players like Sosa and Fonseca just made me even more of a fan.

Wherever possible I've watched Suarez at Ajax, which is made easier as I have a soft spot for Ajax anyway. Also watched a lot of Forlan over the last couple of years...though not in a dirty mack-wearing, crouching behind his garden fence with a video close-up locked on his shower window kind of way.

Suarez won't come to us. He'll want Liverpool if he comes to the UK, or a team with consistently proven Champs league football.

Forlan's not going to make it second time round in the Prem, so why waste time even thinking about it.

Rossi wasn't good enough for Man U, so why would he be good enough for Spurs?

The six foot, bolshy Brazilian that's still sticking them in every couple of games and cheap as chips? Every time.
