EVERY club is a selling club.
Man Utd sold Ronaldo to Real Madrid
Liverpool sold players to Barca, City
Barca sold Neymar to PSG
Spurs sold players to Real Madrid
Arsenal sold players to City, Utd
Chelsea sold players to Atletico, Utd
The only teams I feel like haven't really been selling is City and PSG and that's only really cos they have so much more money than anyone else but make no mistake, Real Madrid apparently want Neymar and City will eventually lose players as well.
Players hold the cards. If they kick up enough of a stink and decide they want to go then eventually the club has to let them go.
I agree that the media seem to have an obsession with us selling our best players but it's only cos we have some absolutely brilliant players and the media love a big money transfer. It's a boring, repetitive story but it will continue for a long time, at least until we win something and ya know what, even if we won the Champions League this season, first thing the media would do is say well, Real Madrid and PSG are surely going to come in hard for Pochettino now.
There's no escaping it kids, all you can do is try to ignore it.
