It’s actually mad how much pull the scouse have on the media! Every man and his dog is going to be willing Luton to do us the weekend, I just hope we have a strong ref for it.

With the ridiculous thing is that none of what happened on Saturday was our fault.

This is the thing I never get with referee mistakes. Somehow the blame and vitriol often seems to be transferred onto the club when these decisions have nothing to do with them.

What's incredible to me is that not a single person has contemplated the concept that going 1-0 away from home against an unbeaten side who have come from behind to win several times while having 10 men with an hour remaining doesn't necessarily mean an automatic victory

It does if you’re a Liverpool fan.

Especially if you wack the ball into your own net in the last minute. Losing to an own goal and then asking for a rematch is weak.

Neville must have really wanted to wind the Scousers up with this. No good come from of it only a load of Scousers losing their heads.

Which, to be fair, if I was Gary Neville, I'd quite enjoy.

Not entirely sure how it's happened, but Wrighty is a national treasure.
Yeah, I'd love to dislike him but he seems a really top bloke and is far more balanced when discussing Spurs than I would be if I was discussing Woolwich. When I compare him with Martin Keown, who I don't really dislike either to be honest, the difference is night and day. Keown never hides his bias and goes on like a fan when discussing Woolwich ("Gary Neville enjoyed seeing us concede", "Martin Tyler has it in for us"). Merson also doesn't hide his dislike of us but he's just comical and I can't hate him for that.

He wasn't saying "end of" during the game though..

Yeah, I rewatched the game a couple of days ago and (a) that Curtis Jones tackle seemed worse than I remembered and (b) Neville’s commentary over it was absolutely terrible.

I thought Neville's commentary the previous week was even worse.

He teed Udogie up to be a scapegoat when he was struggling against Saka and then didn't even acknowledge how well Udogie dealt with it for the last 60 minutes. On a yellow, momentum with Saka and Udogie absolutely dominated that wing in the second half particularly. Had the game continued like it did first half, I'm sure he'd have destroyed the lad.

I thought his opinions on Romero were wrong too. Romero was very unlucky for me with the OG. I thought Neville was very harsh blaming him. On the pen, I thought Neville was wrong too. In this day and age, it's a penalty.

I used to enjoy Neville. Now he gives me a pain in the hole. But I do love seeing him wind up the Dippers.
