VDV was a wonderful player to watch. Loved his passion and his guile.

And any player that nutmegs Jack Wilshire twice in a matter of seconds in such a huge match as the NL derby........ and then follows it up with an "ahhhh" and a fuck you shove.

Oh my...... MAN LOVE

Oh Rafa... why did you have to leave? WHY?!

Well, I guess there's only one player I can throw up here that would equal and surpass the confused emotions I felt for Rafa:

Skip to 04:15 for the Spurs part

Would be good to compare him to our current attacking left wing imprasario:

It's clear to any Spurs fan just how incredible Ginola was. His introduction to the crowd at our 125 year Anniversary game against Villa received a louder reaction than any other legend.

There is no one signing in the last 15 years that got me more excited than vDv. Wonderful player. Can only pray Levy and Franco can deliver someone of a similar ilk in the next few weeks!!

I miss him :( You don't really appreciate him 100% until he's gone.

Imagine we had King, Modric, VdV, Berbatov, Bale all in their peak for us now

Yeah, that's always been our downfall. Loads of great players but very rarely at the same time. That's why losing Modric and Vdv at the same time was such a blow.

You know what though? I'd still take Berbatov back for a couple of seasons, along with a younger striker with potential. I know he doesn't really fit into our system now but class is class and I think, like Teddy he will be able to play well into his thirties. Wouldn't cost much either.

I agree I'd take him back; pace/physicality has never been what his game is about... I'd have no doubt he would score a hatful for us.
