Nice return for an old joke.

Did you hear Glenn Hoddle found God?
Must have been one hell of a pass.

Seriously though, i think he went to play in Holland or Belgium somewhere in the lower divisions. I think he was a very early developer who ripped it up in his early teens because of that, but then failed to grow and develpo further after his mid teens, everyone caught him up, he was not so relatively fast and strong as he had been and ... well ... there you go.

Still makes more than me i'll wager so i won't say he 'failed', but he never made the step up to the big time and won't now probably

He was on Sky Sports News a few weeks ago. Seems like he's enjoying himself. Good luck to him.

Still only 22/23, roughly same age as Mason.
At one time, would have been considered our no.1 prospect to make first team.
What could have been...

That's true, and on that basis definitely shouldn't write him off.

I remember when he went on loan to Brentford and my mates who are season ticket holders were raving about his ability. Scored twice on his debut I think one direct from a corner? Problem was he was a bit of a bellend and his attitude was all wrong.

Looks like a spell in Belgium might teach him some humility.

Hope he comes good eventually.

Yeah, I always got the impression it was he himself who stopped his progression.

I read something a few weeks back and he wasn't too complimentary of our club although he didn't slag us off.

He basically said he had no chance of ever making it with us but he didn't regret the move.

Maybe that perceived barrier alone is the reason the reason he didn't progress as he should have done.

Anyway, from a personal point of view it saddens me to see young and incredibly talented footballers - and Bostock was that at 15/16/17 - fade away into obscurity.

It happens far too often in this country.

Such a shame if it's true about his attitude.

It hinders and sometimes destroys players who have undoubted ability. Taraabt is another example.
