Definitely VDV. Although the Sissoko one was amusing. Half the forum wanted him, half the forum didn’t. He was off to Everton, then off to us, then off to Everton again, before finally signing for us after all. It was chaos and comedy and tragedy rolled into one. Kinda like ol’ Moose.

I’ve also just remembered the whole Ryan Babel in a helicopter to Tottenham thing. Although that might have been Jim White on Skysports gobbling too much LSD that morning.

Selling Berbatov and signing Frazier Campbell on loan on my birthday is hard to top

VDV easily...

But was Wilson Palacios a deadline day in January under Harry?

Loved that transfer...was exactly what we needed at the time!

The day I told my mate that I had received ITK that Clint Dempsey was going to sign for us when I made the whole thing up, only for him to rock up later that day.

Having brought my son up as Spurs, I have to say it was pretty damn cool of the club to break their transfer record on his birthday when they shelled out £30m for Erik Lamela.

That the club waited until the exact same day nine years later to confirm the signing of Cristian Romero was just as sweet.

Not sure his mother is overly enthused by the fact that I now refer to our firstborn's birthday as 'Purchase an Argentine Shithouse Day' though...

For buzz/surprise factor - VdV

Actual best transfers - Hugo Lloris and Robbie Keane

Gutted we never got Kevin Doyle, Charlie Adam or Saido Berahino over the line though. We'd have won it all

What an absolutely fucking pointless thread. We've only had one good deadline day ffs.

And yes, I have got the right fucking ump with this one and no more signings, when quite clearly, the bench last night needed them.

Has to be Lloris if we're talking about overall impact, Van der Vaart if we're talking about excitement.

VDV, nearly fell of my chair when id heard we'd signed him at the last minute. Was by far my favourite non Spurs player at the time.

The half that just wanted us to sign anyone....

Was Lloris last day?
I thought he was in earlier, but have no recollection at all.

I’m keeping my powder dry for the day we finally get Leandro Damiao over the line tbh.

This one, nothing happening, I'm banned from posting in the transfer rumours threads and a hat full of new players already in so I did mostly other stuff.
