Surely we wont be on Monday night football.

We'll have Europa that week.
I doubt it's the Monday (18th) when we have a Europa League play off on that Thursday.
Absolutely nothing stopping them doing that. There's more of a gap between the MNF and Europa than between the Europa and following Sunday. Plus it's likely to be a second XI for the EL Playoff anyway. I'm inclined to believe this is true.

Where did you find this out ?

Someone I know that works at one of the two clubs who got this information. Only passed in conversation as we were both appealed by the FA cup game being so late and the trouble that there was

I'm sure someone has previously mentioned there is a police representative involved prior to announcement.

I can't recall when or where I read this but it would make sense I guess??

Yes, police and clubs are involved in the discussions to select televised games.

Well, if the police are getting involved with our fixtures less than normal I for one am happy. Far prefer to play the scum at 5:30 than 12:30.

Why should there be any trouble these days? the world cup is a great example of fans being able to sit near each other and not kick off.

its pathetic people fight over football, just enjoy the game and discuss it after, have some friendly banter and move on.

Whilst I agree, there have been occasions in this world cup where fans have been fighting fans of the same country.

I have no reason to lie about the kick off time, simply passing on information and the late kick off at the FA cup shows that police are happy for this to go ahead despite my bad experiences in the last two away games there (dealt by police and stewards appallingly)

Reminds me of France '98.
Went to 2 Yugoslavia games (not intended to be that way) and during both matches their supporters were constantly scrapping with eachother!

On Sky's fixture section of the website it shows the Sunday & Monday kick offs, so I guess a formal announcement is imminent.
And we're not playing West Ham on the Monday, it's Burnley v Chelsea.

Looks like Sky have announced their fixtures, but alas we wait on BT. So the Hamsters game is either BT or nothing.
