When do Sky and Setanta select their games to be televised?

The Premier League fixtures were released on Monday and I was wondering if any one knew when Sky/Setanta are due to make a decision on the first tranche of games selcted for television?

Also a friend is a senior member of the security staff at Man Utd and he has said that Setanta have agreement for Saturday evening fixtures to be kick off at 8pm instead of the previous 5.15pm. Has anyone heard anything similar and if so surely the police will be forced to into a position on a number of games?

If memory serves me correctly, last season the first tranche of games were announced towards the end of June.

As for the late kick off times, maybe some non-high profile games will be allowed to kick off at 8pm, but I can't believe that the police would allow a Spurs - Ar5enal game for example to kick off at that time.

I've heard nothing about it though.

Its probably good for congestion, with the fans on the way back from a 3pm kick off and fans on their way to a 5:15pm match. Not sure when the televised games are shown, but hopefully we'll see more of Spurs this time. Of course, it doesn't help that our season ended early last time round. When we were in the top 6, we were shown plenty of times.

As far as I know, Setanta and Sky choose when games are going to be played and when they want their 'Showdown Sundays', about 10 minutes before Scudamore chooses which games he'd like Arsenal to play and when, which is about 15 minutes before the Premier League tell the FA when they would like games to be played and who they want at home and away and when, which is in turn all done the day before the FA announces that the fixture list has been 'randomly selected'.
