When Harry goes

When Harry does eventually go, either because of his case in court or to England, because i think it'll be within 12 months no matter what, I think we'd be in a good position to appeal to some very good managers. What direction does everyone think we'll take? Promote from within, English up and coming manager or older experienced manager from here or abroad? I genuinely believe we'd get alot of interest from managers abroad following our good publicity in recent years

It's so strange how much football and it's idiots fans (including myself in that) can change. At the start of the season, I was desperate for Ancelotti, preferably to replace Harry asap. But Harry has proved me and many others wrong, helped organise the best squad in my life time whilst playing pornographic football. The mood in the squad is insanely good and that is almost certainly down to Harry.

To answer your question I would still want Ancelotti after Harry, but i'll be devastated when he goes now. Maybe Hiddink if we could ever pull that off?

I still think Ancelloti is the way forward.

People don't give him enough credit for what he did with Chelsea - winning the double is not to be sniffed at.

AVB is doing worse with a (arguably) better squad and after their blip last season Chelsea recovered and still had a shot at the title come April/May.

Plus I think Levy could temper his preference for old players.

Guus Hiddink would just be a short term fix - I want someone who can come in and be here for 5 years at least.

Ancelotti, Wilkins and a new DoF.

Can't really see any credible alternative to Ancelotti tbh. van Gaal, Deschamps, Klopp?

Even I've given up on him going to prison next month after Gray and Keys blabbed about Storrie, so it'll be in the summer.

With a new stadium (hopefully) on the horizon it'll be a good chance for someone to build a real legacy with us

Did I hear a stat that Arry has now equalled Gerry Francis for most EPL games in charge? I'm sure that when Arry steps (is sent) down, that there will be a queue of top flight managers lining up to continue the legacy.

I've always said that Wendy's problem was communication. I really can't see any British managers (apart from SAF) that could come in and fill Arry's shoes. So it's Hiddink or Ancelotti for me.

or ...

I always thought Ghod would turn into a top class manager, once he finally got over his ego issues. Dunno if he's ready yet, but one day.

Alan Pardew would never surprise me as a dark horse, If he has a good season with Newcastle.

This pretty much exactly sums up my feelings.

Wouldn't want Pardew - he hasn't yet had sustained success at one of the club's he's managed.

He did well with West Ham in their first season in the Prem, and is doing great with Newcastle now, but in all his roles he hasn't done it for more than a year / 18 months. In some cases thats been cos he left for something bigger (leaving Reading for West Ham), and in other cases its all gone wrong and he's got the chop.

Ancelotti for me.

I'll be more than crying if it's Pardew

TBH (and I understanding you are having a bit of fun), but I believe that Daniel Levy will be wanting to make a bit of a statement with his next managerial appointment. Couldn't see Alan Pardew being classed as such.

Could be wrong, just that now we are looking like genuine challengers for the first time (in decades ), and the squad being so highly motivated by the RudeMop touch, I think he would be wanting a bit of a WOW factor. Someone that would make people think this lot mean business.
