We are currently 11th on the SAME points with Newcastle after their victory today.
Three more games to go and a few weeks back i thought we would catch up with West Ham and at least finish tenth.
The atitude of the some players doesn't reflect that we are competing to get any higher and it could also mean Newcastle snatching 11th.
Its sad that some players have gone awol in games and i believe if the attitude was right and we played like we did before our European fall, we may have been 10th already.

So where do you think we will end the season?
??10th??
11th?
12th?
13?
or
??14th??

I am sitting right next to the Bolton fans next week and I aint looking forward to that much now as I think they'll be the ones celebrating come full-time.

From start to end our league campaign has been a disaster. The fact that Birmingham did the double over us says it all.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose our three remaining games and wind up 13th.

We're shit - hopefully we'll be better come August.

We have Europe and a trophy so 10th / 11th / 12th to me is incidental. The extra money from Sky would be a small bonus but our aim is to get into Europe the following season, and we've got it. Newcastle and West Ham haven't.

So we shouldn't pay money to go watch a squad that are not bothered then?
Surely as professional, they should still entertain and aim higher - most fans on here do aim higher!!!

Don't get me wrong ackie - I am not condoning any slacking or lack of effort whatsoever - that is utterly unprofessional. But since the Wembley win and the way our results have panned out, leaving us with nothing to chase except position, I'm sure Ramos is trying our one or two tactics and players in positions that wil help for next season. The pressure is off in the sense of pushing for position.

We have achieved all we can this season. For me, I'd bring in the Gunters, the Gilbertos and Roses in the environmental circumstances we have presented ourselves with.

if we win the next three games we will finish 10th - top half and a cup is a decent season considering the change of manager a third of the way into the season

10th, 11th, 12th ... who really cares any more?

Would like to see us 10th just to say that at least we made the top half but I don't think we're going to beat Reading away who will be desperate or Liverpool at home who might need a point to secure CL or catch Arse, and I'm not confident about Bolton at home either.

Next season we'll be without Robinson, Berbatov (hope he stays but don't see it), Tainio, Gardner, Cerny, Chimbonda, Lee, Dawson, Rocha, Malbranque(maybe)

Next season we'll be in Europe.

Next season we'll be a much fitter team, once Ramos has done his own pre-season.

Next season we'll finally finish higher than Ar5ena1.

finishing below West Ham and a team like Newcastle who we've taken the living piss out of all season would be a bitter pill to swallow.

I see your point and you're right but Ramos has tried tactics but not really the players you mentioned.
I too would like to see Rose in action.
Perhaps giving youth a chance would inject more entertainment and he/we can also see some future hope from the youth squad.

I think Dawson and Malbranque will be here. They are useful squad players. Malbranque has played out of position and has done alright.
Dawson was immense last season and that injury has caused a slight under-performance but he is a good defender.

I would add Stalteri and zokora to that tranfer list

Players out on loan should be Taarabt, Rose, Dervitte, Barcham and Boateng.

If Berba leaves, then get any of the following:
Benzema - Huntelaar - Owen - Ibrahimovic (Cost too much) -Robinho
I think we can get these three!

Next season we'll be in Europe.
AGREE!
