realistically are aim has got to be that 4th spot otherwise we will not go to the next level. saying that i also need to be realistic and say i we were to finish 5th i would count it as a good season and 6th would be decent but any lower would not be so good. imo we have got a better and bigger squad of players then the likes of everton and man city albeit with other player coming in but i honestly think are biggest challengers for 4th not including pool and scum will be villa cos of there manager, funds and players. any way were do you think spurs will be next season

I'm going to put a bet on us finishing 3rd. Optimistic I know but not impossible with our manager and squad.

I'm going to have a bet on us taking all 6 points from Arse this season,..... so thats both of us in need of meds, Kentucky,.

Depends on how we fare in the cup competitions i think ?? A top six finish would be a fair finish for Ramos, anything better would be a real achievement.

I think the wheels are really starting to fall off at Arsenal (well i hope so). I know Wenger has a good eye, but it looks like quite a few players are going to leave them. I'm very hopeful for this season. 4th is very possible, although i still think we need another good CB and DM to really complete our squad.

Defensive midfielder and centre-back if King isn't back and we are pushing for the 3rd place and leaving Scum and Pool behind us

Looking at our current squad I'd go for 9th - so voted top half

However I expect some more signings yet, and then I expect to be edging towards 6th/7th

I won't make a definitive prediction till the transfer window shuts at the end of Aug - and I've seen one more game after that

it's only then I feel you get a realistic look into the team's chances

It depends on who else we buy, but at the moment I'd say 6th or 7th. Qualifying for Europe is a must after all this investment and its the very least I'd expect.

Thats all speculation about certain players leaving, even if they do Wenger will get good replacements.

aww come off it. You may make sure the safety net is out for when you come hurtling back down to earth.

A European place is a must, by any means possible. I voted 5/6th as I think that is a realistic target.

Obviously there are a few more signings to be made, but I really wouldn't be surprised if we comfortably finished 5th and made a real push for 4th.

I think Spurs fans are a little guilty of getting too excited when we're doing well, and too pessimistic when we're doing not so well.

Okay, so, we finished 11th last year but this was down to the following:

-A lack of fitness
-A terrible start (which is a massive deal; very few teams in the Premiership can affored to discount the first 10 games of the season)
-Not signing the right players in pre-season

This year it looks as though we'll have the fitness, have a more tactically astute coach and will have (hopefully) signed the right players in pre-season.

Oh, and if the Led-monster's fit our defence will be one of the best in Europe

Couldn't have put it better myself. While Modric and dos Santos are both very encouraging signings, we still haven't addressed any of the weakest areas of our team that were responsible for our poor form last season (i.e. a new goalkeeper and a defensive midfielder, let alone a new centre-back given that we can't just keep our fingers crossed for Ledders to play for the majority of the new season).

At the moment, there are still a fair few clubs with far better balance in their teams than we do (even if we have a few 'gems' that are better than them in certain positions) and if the season began today with no further transfers, I wouldn't expect us to be any higher than 7th at very best.

Top half, at this moment in time.

5th, if we make signings of the Modric/GdS calibre in our weak areas.

I would like us to win the title but that's being a tad too optimistic. I would gladly settle for 3rd as well. I say this every year but I really believe that we are going to be something special this coming season......by the way, I think winning the title may not be too far off if we play to our potential.

I agree, but I think we'll be setting our sights a little too low if we only want to win the title.

I think we'll have a good chance in the European Championships this year and also, the US golfers aren't as good as last time so I reckon we can lift the Ryder Cup '08.

Oh, and why not cap off a great pre-season by taking the badmington gold at the Olympics?
